In 2023 major medical groups announced that phenylephrine HCl was ineffective. It's sold as sinus medicine, but it was no more effective than a placebo in clinical testing. This and some Afrin products are a some of the few products for sinus congestion not related to to allergies that have an effective medicine in them. This has a blend of oxymetazoline HCl and menthol. Fair warning, it will open your sinuses up, and it may burn in the process, but when I first took it, I hadn'5 been able to breathe through my nice for 2 days. It opened up (maybe 80%) within 10 minutes, and it was clear for pretty darn close to 12 hours. You will have a rebound effect, meaning it may be harder to breathe the day after you stop taking it, but if you can't breathe at all, and you can breathe fine when you stop, you may not even notice!

I immediately took the medication . Then I used the Severe Nasal Congestion Relief Nasal spray. This is a perfect combination of Meds and Nasal Spray. Thank goodness

be SURE to read ingredients and get the right product.. when Im sick I use mucinex during the day and it works WONDERFULLY.. I pair it with ZICAM nasal to knock out the sickness right away and mucinex to target the symptoms once Im up and around (again, daytime) theres a night time mucinex but I havent used it much.. the ZICAM and MUCINEX combination is my go-to for when I get sick, and I hav referred several people now to that and they swear by it too.. great product. 5 stars easy !

These are two very effective products bundled in one and completely worth the money. Our family was struggling with a really nasty virus and sinus infections and these made life bearable. Immediate relief! The only reason for four stars is because of the ridiculous cap on the nasal spray- definitely needs to be redesigned.

Definitely worked. I never used the included spray. Nor, did I look closely so I had to buy a follow up dose of Mucinex, because alone this is not enough to cure a sinus infection. But, with a follow up dose in 3 days I was back to myself! And ready to handle business. Definitely worth the money. Mucinex, works.

I have NEVER, in all my life encountered a medicine lid that was as difficult to open as the nasal spray to this set! ...Apparently, you have to put 'pressure' on a certain point of the lid to get it to open, and that is NOT mentioned in the instructions. ...But it works wonderfully once you get it to open.

This was not my favorite, I normally always use Mucinex, but I use a different one. This one did not work as well for me as what I normally buy. The nasal spray burned a little. Next day I bought my regular Mucinex and a different brand spray (spray was cheaper and didn't have the menthol or whatever burned) and has better relief.

Save yourself the money and do not purchase the nasal spray. It's difficult and won't open (their own website has many reviews with the same issue). The pills however work amazing!

I had to cut the stupid child proof locking mechanism off because it would NOT turn. I am quite capable of “squeezing the sides, pressing down firmly, and turning.” If it worked that way, it would have been fine. This was stupid difficult and pretty sure a bad design.
