This is a healthy choice of kids cereal and my kids love eating it, not only for breakfast but sometimes as a quick energy boost bowl of cereal before an outing.
Multi grain Cheerios are so good that my cats chase me down to eat it
THESE WERE THE ONLY GOOD FLAVOUR YOU HAD BESIDES PLAIN AND HONEY NUT! WHY WOULD YOU GET RID OF IT YOU IDIOTS! IT'S THE ONLY CEREAL I'D EAT BESIDES KIXS AND HONEY BUNCHES OF OATS! STUPID STUPID STUPID! I apologize for the outburst but it's how I feel, I'm sure not all of you are idiots, but choosing to produce a frosted lemon flavor over multi grain is going to be my Roman Empire. I love lemon don't get me wrong, but there's something magical about a medley of different grains lightly frosted. I don't know if it was consumer demand or lack of ingredients that made this decision, but I refuse to accept that it was a “lack of ingredients” when you're making new flavors. I love you General Mills, but this hurts. It really really hurts.
I've been a fan of Cheerios since I was a little kid but I absolutely love Multi Grain Cheerios. I have a a big bowl of them every morning for breakfast. Sometimes I get an extra smaller bowl in the evening instead of grabbing a snack. I din't know you had 20 + other varieties. I wish you had some smaller boxes to try some of them out. I''m retired and it would be too expensive to invest in full size boxes just to try them out.
If the cereal in the morning takes up upto 28% total sugar, what else can a kid eat rest of the day that's sweet. How about apples, bananas, and other sweet items? GM foods are very rich in sugar
good price and tasty cereal without all the sugar [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Unfortunately, I didn't read the nutrition label before I bought it. I expected this to be healthy like original Cheerios but just with the added benefit of multi-grain. WRONG. This is NOT a healthy choice for cereal. It's loaded up with added sugar. I really don't want to eat candy for breakfast. Cut back on the added sugar like original Cheerios does. People can use put more on at the kitchen table if the want to eat candy and deal with becoming diabetic.
My daughter has celiac disease. She loves this cereal but after eating it consistently for six years it started making her sick. It is still gluten free but something about it has changed and it's hurting her stomach/intestines. She can't eat it anymore.
Despite boasting 28g of whole grain it has less fiber than the original and more added sugar. Like a lot more added sugar. This should be illegal and shame on this company for promoting this as a healthier option.
I just read a comment that Cheerio company representatives put out stating this product is “….heart healthy”; however, the carbs and sugar are inflammatory, thus more damaging to the heart and circulatory system than the smaller benefit gained from the soluble fiber. Having said this, plain Cheerios with less sugar is a better choice because like Honey Nut, it has a prebiotic effect from the fiber. It is a long stretch stating “heart healthy”.
