We bought this for my 2 year old daughter to have in her crib, and she loves it! The button on the bottom is easy for her to use, and it auto shuts off after a while. It's been one of the best purchases we've made for her, as it gives her some independence. We keep a few books in her crib, and if she wakes up at night, she uses her nightlight to play or read quietly by herself until she falls back asleep. She loves owls, so the owl design is definitely a plus! During the day, if she needs some extra light to see, she runs to fetch her nightlight from her crib. It's really cute to see her holding it up like a lantern to see. Would definitely recommend!

This owl light is so cute, I just love it. It has a built in LED light so the whole thing glows. The handle is easy to grab onto for a little kid and it doesnt weigh very much at all. You can turn it on and after 20 minutes the timer automatically shuts off to conserve batteries. It comes with the batteries too. Please note for safety purposes you need a very mini philips screwdriver to put the batteries in. The real benefit of this light is that it doesnt get hot because its LED so your kiddo can snuggle with it if they choose and it's completely safe. This is a great gift!

This has made all the difference for us getting our 2 year old to go to sleep in his toddler bed by himself! It is bright, but we can usually convince him to keep it at the foot of his bed. He is easily able to turn it on/off by himself, but I do sometimes fumble around trying to find the little button by feel if it is dark. I like that it is portable because he can use it to light the way if he gets up in the night...then we can see him coming :) The paint will definitely wear off, and it is not heavy but these things are not a big deal for us. It has been thrown during tantrums, so lightweight has been a pro. All in all, this is super cute and has been a huge help for us removing dependency on mom and dad for sleep.

My 2 year old loves going to bed with this nightlight. I really like the timer and the simplicity. It is not soft, it is a hard plastic, but my son loves to hold it. I would love it if it were a bit softer, and also think it would be great to have different levels for the strength of the light. Overall, it serves a good purpose and makes it fun.

I love this nightlight. I love the look, the glow it gives off, that my daughter can turn it off and on herself (she's 2) and that it runs on batteries. What I don't love it the timer. I wish more than anything that you could disable the timer so that it would stay on all night. I understand the want to conserve battery energy, but I would gladly go thru 2 batteries a week if it meant my daughter didnt wake up at 3am crying b/c her owl was off. If you want a timer on your nightlight (this one goes off after 20 min), then this is great. If not, you may want to hold off on this until your child is old enough to read in bed. We still use it, but I have another light that stays on all night in her room as well.

This is helping some with our toddler's fear of the dark. Some nights he is comforted enough by this product to go right to sleep without a fuss, other nights he still needs extra reassurance, completely normal and expected for his age group. Happy that it provides him some comfort in the night. He is only 2 and can turn it on and off himself without any problem. It stays cool so is safe to snuggle if he wants. Better than a plug in night light that would be a hazard for curious hands and better than a too bright lamp. Definitely recommend.

This light is bright. The handle is the perfect size for my son, and he absolutely loves this light. He carries it with him and shines it on books while he "reads". The paint on the owl wears off quickly, so I will have to touch it up at some point. Also, the button to turn this on is very tiny and located on the bottom of the owl. It's a little difficult for me to turn on and off, but my son, who is 2.5 years old, has no problem locating it and turning it on, even in the dark. The area for the batteries has really cheap screws that stripped easily, so I had to replace them so it would stay closed. Even with the problems, I would still buy it again. My son loves it, and for the price, it is worth it.

I was hoping to use this in my bedroom so that I can change baby's diaper or feed her without turning on the light. Definitely didn't provide enough light, even when putting it right by her. This is good for a toddler that just feels more comfortable having a little lighting nearby, but it doesn't brighten up a room at all.

I think this nightlight is adorable but I don't like the size of the on/off button and it's location. It is a teeny tiny orange button on the bottom of the owl that isn't easy to locate or press. I also don't like that it has an automatic shut-off feature after a few minutes. I bought this light so I could easily breastfeed my newborn at night without having to turn on the bright lights but it turns itself off on me and then I can't turn it back on as both of my hands are occupied. Overall I like this nightlight but wish I could change a few things about it.

It was a little confusing how to get it to work, but I discovered what to do and now it works really great.
