Purr Pad comforts our cat

Denver27 February 1, 2016

I like the white Purr Pad for reasons related to keeping our cat entertained and/or ensuring his comfort. When I spread catnip on a Purr Pad, the cat will entertain himself for half an hour, rolling around on the pad, and often taking a nap. Although the texture of the Purr Pad may seem "scratchy" to humans, our cat finds it highly comfortable. Not only does it have the ability to attract and hold cat hair, it also retains warmth which is a bonus especially in climates that experience cold winters. Our cat likes the Purr Pad as much (if not more) than his cat beds. We will recommend the pads to all of our friends who have cats and we have no doubt they will be equally as pleased with them as we have been. One Purr Pad has been permanently placed in the bathroom vanity because the cat hides there every time he hears an unusual noise, such as someone knocking at our front door. His favorite hidey-hole is now much more comfortable. The size of the Purr Pad is adaptable to many areas: a sofa, a bed, a chair - wherever the cat claims as his/her favorite place. Since our cat has an unusual fascination with freshly laundered underwear, I donated a white t-shirt to the cat. Now I found that if I place a gently folded Purr Pad inside a t-shirt in order to create a tunnel, our cat loves to either attack the tunnel or simply chill out inside the tunnel. Every day, I attempt to play with our cat whenever he is in a playful mood. I can see myself using the Purr Pad in various ways as part of our entertainment program.

Works but thin!

HamRadioCQDx February 16, 2016

Hello, was really looking forward to getting the Cat Purr Padds. It came with two Padds and thought it would be great for our "Cats". Yes that is Cats, lets just say more then 6 Rag Dolls plus a couple others. Anyways when taking them out of the package they seemed very thin. I would say very close to the thickness that is used for Quilt batting. So was not looking for a long lasting bed for the Cats. Well at first I thought that I was going to be correct. But after they found them and "fluffed" them to their liking the beds have held up quite well. Yes they show wear you can see where they are starting to come apart but they sure like sleeping on them. Two of the Cats have claimed them as their own but will share, when in the mood. My wife has been thinking of making a cover for them and that would be the thing to make them last. I'm sure your question is, would I buy them again if needed. That is a hard question to answer. But I'm leaning to saying yes if you cover them. Or if you only have one or two Cats they would be fine and should hold up for a long time. I would not try to wash them unless you do it my hand. Just don't think they would hold up in a machine. If you get a chance try to feel them before you decide. If you do go with them you will have some happy kitties.

My cats love them !!!

dealfindershopper February 22, 2016

I got these for my 4 cats to protect a sofa they like to lay on they came in a pack of 2. Although they are very thin the cats seems to love them in fact they laid on them rather than on me or their beds as soon as I put them on the sofa. Normally it takes my cats a while to get used to new beds or blankets but with these they were straight on them even when I moved them the cats went to the pads first rather then there regular laying spots even when I moved them to the floor the cats went straight on them. They do seem to catch a lot of the cat dander and hair because since I have been using them the amount of cat hair and dander has reduced significantly around the lounge. They are also very easy to wash and dry very quickly. My only complaint is that the pads themselves do shed and I find bits of the pads all over my lounge which is why I only gave it a 4 star rating . They are a very good size and they comfortably fit one of my large cats and one of my smaller cat on one pad.

Awesome....

tomcat40 February 9, 2016

This product somehow just draws the cat right on to it. My cat has her favorite beds and places to curl up but loves to stretch out on my couch cushion. Now with the purr padd on top of that cushion there is no more loose hair sticking to your clothes or your companies clothes. It is very soft and can not just be used on the couch but in her cat carrier or just in the corner where she will find it and get nestled in and sleep for hours. Very nice and a good size at 20 x 20 or should I sat perrrrfect........

Purr Pad review

ljm1 February 10, 2016

Our cats immediately loved the purr pads. I put them on the parlor chairs and our big yellow cats, Barney and Otis, claimed them. Now the pads are in baskets that cats like to sleep in. The only thing I do not like about the pad is the color. White does not look good on my furniture and even in the baskets it would be better if they were tan or maybe green or brown. Also, I did not find any instructions on the package as to how to clean the pads. Are they machine washable? One thing is certainly true, they are cat magnets.

My cat didn't fall in love...

stephanielovenpeace February 15, 2016

I have seen this Purr Pads advertise forever and wondered if my girl would like one. She isn't horribly picky when it comes to stuff to take naps on. However, she seems to like the really soft microfleece feel verses other materials. I was pleasantly surprised that the package came with 2 Purr Pads. I just started with 1 and I put it in one of our livingroom chairs she likes to nap in. A few days passed by and she finally jumped up to check it out. She laid in it for a few minutes and than jumped down to nap elsewhere. I did get a pic of her and I'll post it below. She hasn't been in the chair since. At least while I've been home. So I imagine this will go to the kitties at our local Humane Society since Kitty Sunshine could really care less about it:) Every cat is different and I'm sure there are cats that would love to nap on it. It's just not a win with mine.

The cats like them

The cats like them, but they come apart easily. The fibers catch in their claws or something and tuffs come lose

Purr pads - one likes it, one doesn't...

JerseyGirlRLM February 8, 2016

I have two cats; one sheds, one doesn't. One likes the PURR pad, one doesn't. The package came with 2 pads, so I could give Roxie time to get used to it, while Frankie made himself to home on his. I personally don't like the feel of them, the material is unpleasant to the touch, rough and coarse, but that's just me. Frankie, the male (younger of the two), took to it immediately. I usually leave it on the end of the bed, which is where he cuddles up for his morning, afternoon and evening nap. The other day, I actually saw him drag it off the bed and into the living room so he could be near us. However, as soon as I put it back on the bed, he climbed right back onto it. Roxie, my older cat, a female, circled and sniffed hers for a couple of days, but ultimately turned her nose up and went back to her favorite sleeping place, under a sunny window, near the baseboard heat. So in our household, it's a tie, one in favor, one not so much.

Purr Padd

Stashmakesgreattea February 12, 2016

This comes with two pads in a bright white color. They are not very soft and not very pretty. The material is even coming off as I showed in my photos. I'd like it if the colors were pretty. It's a very bright white. So if you put it in the room your eye will probable go to this first. So it would visually blend poorly in a room. The animals were interested in it cause it was new. I put it on the coach and their pet beds. But there blankets were softer then this and they always laid on those. I didn't like the way they looked and they didn't seem to be laying on them. So they ended up under the bed cause the cats like to lay under the bed. That is when they started to come apart a little. I suspect one of the cats may have been kneaded them. I still recommended them cause they would still be great in a pet cage. Possible the cats like them under the bed.

just another pad

Supersox February 21, 2016

This didn't attract my cat anymore than any other pads I have purchased for her. Sure, she rolled around on it when I first put it down, but the newness didn't last long. It is soft and fluffy but I don't see any evidence that it holds warmth or collects dander. All in all it is just anther blanket on the floor to my cat.
