National Geographic Power Rocket Motorized Air Rocket Launcher for Kids and Adults Unisex Ages 8 Years and Up

My 5 year old grandson absolutely loved this rocket that his grandfather and I purchased for him. He even watched tv holding it. I live a few hours away from him so I'm not sure how well it's holding up, but I know he is one happy little boy. His parents sent a video of the rocket blasting off and going vey high……probably right at 200 ft as stated on the box.

My godson had so much fun playing with this and it was very easy to navigate the instructions.

I would not change anything, my kids love it just as it is.

This kids rocket was easy to charge up and easy to set up for launch. We launched the rocket in an open park area and the kids all had a lot of fun taking turns launching the rocket. This little rocket soared! Because National Geographic has its name on this product you can be assured that it is well made.

We just received a National Geographic Power Rocket. Our family is interested in science and my eight year old grandson is very interested in trying to figure out how things works. Needless to say he loves this rocket. It is made of a lightweight styrofoam material so be sure to use it only where there are no obstacles to hit and make it self destruct. It is powered by a 3.7 volt lithium ion battery that is rechargeable. There are three flying modes for different heights and so far we have not tried the farthest one in fear that we may lose it. It does not fly as fast as I thought that it would but that is alright as you have time to see what is going on. After it gets in the air the wings open up to slowly let the rocket come back down. Comes with stickers to decorate and a learning guide. This is an interesting toy and I would recommend this product.

Our home is quite near the coast in Central Florida, and the rocket launches from the Kennedy Space Center on Cape Canaveral have always been a presence in our lives. After all, when a major launch is scheduled we all sit our on the back patio and watch the rockets go up. This motorized Power Rocket was a great way to provide a hands on learning experience for some of my Great Grandchildren, with a few of the Grandchildren helping out as well. The setup was quite intuitive and easy and was handled for me by my 8 year old grandson (once we got through the debate of which set of graphics should be applied to the rocket itself) Charging the rocket was an easy process using a cell phone charger power block. The Rocket set comes with a proprietary USB charging cable, but it must be plugged into a power source which is not included. The very first charge took between 10 and 15 minutes. A red indicator light on the rocket glows red while it is charging, and the light turns off when the battery is fully charged. The biggest challenge for us was waiting for a calm day, with no wind to launch our rocket. There was still a very slight breeze and the rocket did it's best to make it to the roof of our house. But fortunately, it came down about 10 feet short. The next flights were done at a local park and this motorized rocket entertained the kids for quite a while. We are going to be launching it again next weekend when all of the kids are back at the house. My job will be maintenance this week as they voted to change the decal set to a different color and design. (LOL).

This was a highly requested gift from my son for Christmas. Assembly was easy and nice that you could customize the rocket with different stickers. Unfortunately it was kind of cheap feeling and hasn't been something we've played with much.

This was once a great toy, but no longer. It flies sideways and falls to the ground. Don't fall for the Allstate "insurance" offer. It's a scam. Allstate made me contact the manufacturer, Blue Marble, which does not warrant these rockets, but they replaced two defective ones anyway. Neither one flew. Allstate keeps giving me a runaround instead of simply refunding the $40 I paid under the insurance policy I bought specifically for this rocket.. A waste of time!
