Okay let’s start off once you get the thing together it looks great ! Now putting it together is another story. I do enjoy building things so that doesn’t bother me but i will say it took about 2 hours or more haha
my son is 12 and hes in a robotics club. he loves legos and i found this on sale at Christmas and thought it would be perfect. it took him longer to put it together. a few days off and on working on it. thats what i wanted. it probably would be a little much for a kid who doesnt put legos or things like that together a lot. it is really cool when its done and big.
This was a gift for our 11 year old grandson. He’s big into sports, so I wasn’t quite sure how this would go over. But he was actually quite excited about it when he opened the gift. He had put it together before it was time to go back to school, and he’s also been playing with the completed project.
my kiddo hasn't gotten it completely put together yet, but I will advise using something to cut the pieces out. there are sharp plastic tabs on the side that will scratch you without removing them.
i got my 8 yrs old grandson this for Christmas. after a month him and his dad put it together. it was an all day project but they had fun and my grandson loved the finished project
A Hand ence was bought for our Grandson's Christmas. He is 10 and is interested in construction of anything, The instructions were such a good guide for him and he started right away. It will take him a little longer to finish this hand but it is such a good way to learn, they
We are still assembling this product but it seems worth the purchase. My kid is very much into science, so he likes being able to build it and see how the parts work. You very much need to work with your child on this. Cutting the pieces loose and assembling it is too much for a child alone. We work 1 or two pages at a time to not feel overwhelmed. Directions also suggest this.
This was a Christmas gift for our 8yr old daughter. She’s very talented with assembling difficult STEM projects but this was well beyond her ability. She loves the cyborg hand and plays with it often. Great product but will definitely need adult supervision to assemble.
I'm in the fence with this one. It was a gift for my child's bday. He's very mechanically inclined but needed my help putting it together. All the parts come on plastics sheets that you have to twist off to remove it from the sheet. This leaves very SHARP burrs on the parts and I definitely ended up with painful fingers as a result. Also, the screws are really difficult to screw in all the way tight. If you try to go all the way you'll easily stop out the screw heads. BUT once it was fully assembled it is really fun and a cool toy. There's several ways to position the fingers for gripping a variety of objects. So after the (literal) pain of building, it's a lot of fun. I don't know that a child could actually do this alone, but what do I know lol
Cheap plastic pieces that took over 8 hours for my 11yo to assemble... only for tiny pieces to break off and it not work properly. Waste of money. Go for the more expensive brands because this was not worth it.
