For the money this lamp definitely lives up to my expecations, and more. The colors are very complimentary to my decor with the light emitted being soft and cozy. It was simple to put together, but I would recommend having someone hold the lamp pole while the heavy base is screwed on so as not to cause cross-threading. The lampshade is surprisingly attractive given I had to assemble it. The inside of the shade is an opaque, flexible plastic, while the outside is a light beige linen-look. It attaches to the rings by little hooks and the seam secures with velcro. Take your time here so as not to crease the shade and you will be good to go. The pole is adjustable with a set screw (I have mine on the lowest setting) and seems sturdy. The lamp doesn't wobble once in place. For me, it's the perfect height reading lamp.

I like bright light. A 60w which is recommended was ok but I used a 100 watt bulb that used less electricity. Other than that I love it. I put my own shade on it but the one included is very nice.

I love this lamp. It's a beautiful addition to any living room. It arrived in less than a week after placing the order.

The metal looks like and feels like real metal. Very heavy marble base that complements with the gold/brass. I really like the fabric on the lamp cover. It feels very well-made as far as texture and overall quality. Comparing to a lamp of a similar style I got at target it's much more visually, appealing and sturdy. The lamp was also very easy to assemble and well packaged.

Love the lamp!!! Couldn't believe when it was delivered in this little box and realized it was a KIT!!!! Decided I would try and see what it looked like and it is great. Would recommend to all. Looks as good as many other lamps I looked at that cost a great deal more. Suggest to everyone.

I always hesitate to order things like a floor lamp – or even a desk lamp if it has to be put together. That's why I am so pleased with this new purchase. The instructions were clear and concise and stated in a way that I totally understood. I put it together – by myself – in less than 20 minutes. I probably could have done it more quickly if I had a little more self-confidence. I was puzzled a bit by the lampshade, because I thought they had left it out. Only to discover that it was rolled up right there in the box. – And so easy to assemble. I especially like the marble base it adds a touch of class. The base is heavy enough to avoid any tip tipping or leaning one way or the other. We love our new lamp! I sure hope people read this review and realize that they are taking a positive step if they order the lamp. I hope the photos help. I've shown the cord because it is long enough to use either plug source in the room. I compliment Walmart for doing business with the company that produces the lamps. Kathey

Bought it few months ago and it is broken right now. Terrible quality.
