Naxa Electronics NRC-175 Digital Alarm Clock Radio with CD Player and USB Charge Port

I like the versatility of this alarm clock with the three different modes and the volume is defiantly loud enough. I like the digital radio tuning so I know what radio station I am listening to. The ease of use was simple as I had a previous alarm clock in which setup was similar. If you need a reliable alarm clock this is it.

Prime need for a CD clock radio is the CD feature which works well. Learning to use all features is a bit complicated (following the printed instructions). A second need was to be able to see the clock with different ambient light, and this unit is much better than the previous one. Both color and size of the numbers were key to solving this problem. The radio is also better than its predecessor. Overall, as I get more and more familiar with the buttons, etc. I am increasingly happier than at first.

Had to have my son program the unit for me. Just to many things to do and to many numbers to push. Other than being to hard tp program I love being woke up in the morning by somebody like Ricky Van Shelton rather than a disgusting busser or by the nuts on my local radio station.

I expected the sound to be bad. Luckily it isn't too bad because you can't install outside speakers. The control buttons on top are not well marked. They are so bad I had to make a cheat sheet to run me thru the sequence of what button to push just to play a CD.

The instruction manual was hard to follow and understand. Took over 30 minutes to figure out how to set the time. The sound is fair from a clock radio/cd player. I do like the larger numbers, and the color and brightness of the numbers isn't like having a super bright nite-lite in the room. The cover of the cd player is very flimsy, need to handle carefully as it feels like it would crack or break easily. Would I buy this again? No, I would go to a store and check out the features first before ordering online.

Hard to read instructions, no instructions for alarm system, the instructions in general were nonsense. would I buy it again or recommend it: No. I wished that i had never purchase it.

I was looking forward to picking up my new purchase. The unit is impossible to set. There are no definite instructions to set the time. Confusing instruction s isn't an apt description ............. horrible is nearer to the truth. If there were a rating lower than one I would have used that. It's coming back Wal-Mart!!!

There are no positive things to say about this item. It was difficult to program mainly because the buttons were unresponsive and had to be pushed several times. It was also not user friendly. Several buttons needed to be pushed just to play a cd and while the cd played it would sometimes stop mid song for no reason. The sound quality was horrible and you couldn't tell the time while playing a cd or the radio. I didn't get an opportunity to use the alarm setting since the item was immediately returned although I wouldn't have trusted it to wake me up on time.

It wouldn't play some radio stations. I wanted to listen to. The CD player lid wouldn't shut correctly.
