Highly recommended despite the failures at the end
People who know this series already know this but for others... The series is not just a wonderfully animated anime. The characters are complex - they suffer loneliness, fear and trauma and do not run through the standard hero arcs. (I have not watched it all yet but rumor has it that the final two episodes drop the ball plot-wise and the animation is also disappointing. Most critics and fans agree that watching the follow-up feature film, The End of Evangelion, is essential to get narrative closure and a definitive resolution to the storyline.)

not original voice cast
i bought this because good show but once i recived it and started to watch i found out i was in a way wrong because i thought it was original show now on blu ray but it is a redub of original series so it is not the original release series voice cast and that ruins the show for me
