For fun with the kids and pesky critters great way to have some fun!!
The PROs of this gun are: extremely fast loading, faster than all previous models. There are many rails on this gun so if you purchase the (sold separately) attachment reload cartridges they will attach right on to this gun and allow for even faster loading. This gun is a step up from the previously released gun with round balls. The balls are smaller measuring at 1 cm, and squishy rubber(more solid). This gun shoots at 110fps, much faster than previous at 70-90fps. That being said when you get shot with this you know, and there is no denying it as you get a nice welt as an adult. (my 37 year old husband said it was painful.) This item notes capacity is 40, however the directions say 30 max. We have noticed if you overload much past the 30 it does jam. Note* if you tip the gun forward when cocking back it does jam quite as much. Included in this package is 1 gun, 30 balls and 1 pair of safety glasses. This gun does shoot harder than the previous models, and appears to have a set up like a paintball gun. The CONs of this gun are: that it Shoots hard so not for younger or immature kids, the refill balls are a bit expensive as easily as they get lost. (they bounce and poof gone), not automatic, needs manual pull back for shooting. All in all a great gun for older teens and adults. Absolutely not for younger kids. And I would suggest everyone wear eye protection. Much cleaner and not as painful as a paintball gun so a great alternative.
After reading reviews im glad I purchased. Fun works great , has kick , and is exactly what description said. Although I can say the reaload design I don't like as much cause bullets can fall out, still very simple to reload despite this.
I got this for my kids to try out and wow this gun has some serious power. The small rubbery balls shoot out very fast and go at least 30 feet. My kids had alot of fun shooting things with this nerf gun. Reloading is fast and easy and having a backup cartridge of ammo keeps the fun going. I like that the balls are a bright florescent yellow so that you can easily find them to reload. I would recommend this gun, Nerf quality is the best compared to other kinds of play shooting guns and my kids prefer Nerf over the others.
I got this product and surprised my kid. She ran all over the house and we had a nerf war lol. I only wish it was easier to shoot. It would have been better if it was automatic, same goes for reloading it but I honestly have no complaints because we had such a good time!
My teenage son was very impressed with this nerf blaster. He can't wait to get together with friends and have a Nerf war. The blaster has a lot of power and fires the little balls really fast. This is not for little kids. It does come with eyewear and you'll want to wear it, as a ricocheting ball could easily hit you in the eye and do some damage. For the most part the blaster works well and is a lot of fun. The priming slide would occasionally stick, which was annoying and the balls are really small and will get lost. It's good that it comes with a lot! i was really concerned about my chickens eating the tiny balls and if you have small children or pets that could also be an issue. i think i prefer the nerf darts to these tiny balls. The Nerf blaster arrived in the actual package box, no plain brown box...so if you are purchasing it as a gift keep that in mind so the surprise isn't ruined.
My 12yo son loves Nerf guns and own about 12 of them. He was very excited to get this one as well. He love the Hyper Rush 40. It's not the most accurate nerf gun in the world, but it spits the bullets out fast and quickly. Of course my son wishes it were an automatic, but this gun is very fun for him and his buddies. He's had NO bullet jams to date (and uses it almost daily)
Wow, this thing has some power to it! If shot from a few feet away, it leaves a sting, but no bruises. Super fun to shoot, as long as kept upright it seems to load properly each time, but is a bit hard to pull back, you have to put some muscle into it. It is hard to load when you have the refill on top, so I had to move it to the bottom and that worked better. Because of the power, I definitely wouldn't keep this around little kids, someone could really get hurt, but used properly it is a blast!
This nerf gun is ok to me but my kids love it! I give it an ok because it's hard to pull back the gun to fire it. It's easy to push forward but hard to pull back and a younger child wouldn't be able to do it like the recommended age says. Also the nerf balls are very small and therefore easy to lose. So if you're playing with a friend and both of you are running and firing at each other, you will lose a lot of balls. So its good to have a lot of extras on hand because it only comes with 30 balls. Some pros, It's easy to load the balls, comes with directions, mines didn't get jammed but one time and it was when my daughter had it, which could have been something she did wrong. Overall, I would recommend it for fun but just beware you will probably have to purchase a lot of balls. With that in mind, we only shoot them at the wall behind a door so that we can keep up with them.
