I think it's a sensible and most appropriate gift for a boy. I think it's a gift because it's affordable, affordable price and the components in it are nice (protective glasses/many parts/beads) and it's a good gift! Best of all, I'm glad you liked it. The design is also of outsized quality, looks exactly the same in real life, and the package looks great, so I think it's a toy that appeals to boys. It's also safe and can be used as a way to play with friends outside instead of electronics!

Solid blaster, but the hopper can double-feed and chop balls or weaken shots. For best results, soak gels overnight. They grow from ∼7mm to ∼8mm and feed way better.

It was all good just a slight problem, most of the gel would leak out of small holes, wouldn't shoot, if you know what you're doing with gel guns, go for it, if not, wouldn't recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teenager was exited to try this and I was too. He’s been a longtime fan of Nerf and we’ve never gotten a gelfire. Sad to say that when he tested it out he said it wasn’t great. Some of the gel balls would slip from the front and they’re a bit small so hard to see where they shoot sometimes. Like 2-3 sometimes would shoot out and would go in slightly different directions. Pulling the trigger was pretty hard for someone with low strength but maybe that’s intentional or part of the design. I thought the gelfire would swell bigger but they didn’t much after leaving for several hours. I think the idea seemed fun but needs some improvements. Maybe bigger gelfire as that would be easier to spot and probably better precision? Actual size, design and colors were great though.

This gun is a good easy design but it sucks barely rolls out the barrel to be honest I can't believe they put the nerf name on this
