My nephew loves it. We actually purchased this style after we purchased a cheaper style of the rival gun and it did not work and immediately jammed. This one is working fine even after a few days. As a heads up it does take batteries.
Straightforward, robust, easy to use. Good performance. It's the Stryfe for Rival. Can't go wrong with that.
I've been very satisfied with the prices on nerf brand guns lately! This motorized gun is a go to for my boys with their nerf wars! Highly recommend!
fun to pay with balls are hard to keep track of tho!
Feels a little fragile, but overall I think it's good value for what it costs.
It takes 8 AA batteries is the only downside. My son loves it.
Our 4 year old enjoys this.
The biggest problem with this item is that it requires a special new magazine that is different in a very small way from the older rival magazines. it does not allow the older magazines to lock in place which means kids who have collected hundreds and hundreds of magazines cannot use them with this blaster unless they modify them. That's the biggest problem. The blaster fires the rival balls reasonably straight and works pretty well at feeding smoothly when it uses its own magazine. but it's not possible to buy the magazines that fit this extra separately, so that means you're stuck pretty much with the one magazine and that means you can't really have a good Nerf war with this. it's fun otherwise but they just need to sell these same magazines separately.
it's functional and fun. but pellets or balls are too small and especially w animals or small kids around they can be easily swallowed and lost bc they're so small. kids seem to lose interest quick bc pellets are hard to find outside. never will buy this type of nerf product again.
We believe the gun is jammed and the wiring is messed up. The trigger is stiff and is hard to push the trigger button, it also doesnt make any noise. We use brand new batteries and it doesnt work.
