Needed an inexpensive sealer, so purchased the cheapest one. However it has performed as well as my other sealer which cost over $100. Can't speak for the vacuum part of the machine because I haven't used it. I primarily use it to seal food bags to keep the items inside fresh.
Works great so far. It is super easy to use. I think that people reporting that it does not vacuum properly forgot to lock the sealer in place.
Instructions were a bit lacking, but i figured it out! Does exactly what I needed it to do for a basic machine. Ordered more bags and paper, so I'm set for some time! If you need a machine that is easy to use at a fair price, buy this!
i like the ease of use. this is the second purchase of this item. i use my vacuum sealer heavily 9 months out of the year and it served me well for over 5 years of heavy use.

As well use it when want storage frozen fruits. I love how simple and easy the instruction are . I kept meat chicken and etc. stay fresh love it so much.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The NESCO Vacuum Sealer has everything you need to get started as soon as the box arrives! The box comes with the vacuum sealer and 10 bags (8.6 by 11.8 inches). Upon opening the box, the sealer itself is very compact so finding a location to store was easy. When using, the controls are straight forward. The machine seals well and is quiet while in use. There is also an auto shut off button that is handy if you get side tracked when sealing items. The seal bags are versatile so you can purchase NESCO brand or other brands. Both work well. We like to shop in bulk and break down for the perfect size for our family, so this was just what we needed.
I've been wanting to get a food saver sealer for quite some time. So I decided to try this Nesco system. It works great. Easy to operate. comes with a few starter bags also. Just love it.
wow is all i can say.I love it.So easy to use.I seal everything i open with it.I bought on line and it was cheaper than in the store.I would say stop and order you one now its worth every penny you pay and more.I am going to get one for my 3 daughters .Thats how much i love it
This does not get the air out of the bags. It’s not worth the money we spent on it and we will definitely be carrying it back!
