Got the bundle with the sealer and box of rolls and bags. The sealer also had one each 11" and 8" roll included. I tested it out on a bag of my wife's candy and it turned it into solid brick so proceeded with making up 20 pounds of sausage and sealing in 1 pound packs. If you are considering saving a few dollars and getting a unit without a roll holder, dont. The set up of this unit with the cutter in the top right behind the heat strip makes it super easy to just pull some roll out, close, seal, and cut to make up a batch of bags really quickly. My parents have a similar unit but different brand (FoodSaver) and I think I prefer the lever latch on theirs to the two handed press and lock/release of the Nesco but had no issues with it. With the FS even though it has a roll holder and cutter you have to cut the piece of roll off and then position/close it in the heat clamp to seal so this unit just really is so much easier/quicker/better at making bags and there's no waste as the seal is perfect across the very bottom of the bag. Zero issues and easy to use with good buttons and progress display. I hope to get good service out of it.
First time using a sealer this one does the job just fine.
It stores a roll and is easy to cut the size you need.

Put your food in wet or dry food, hit the button, and it extracts the air and seals the bag. Perfect! Great way to keep food fresh and ready when you want it. I recommend this vacuum sealer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's a bit of a learning curve to figure out exactly how to use the vacuum sealer if you've never used one before. I read the instructions beforehand and they are pretty straightforward. The closed position was quite difficult to latch but after several tries, I was able to close it properly. On my first try, there was a lot of air remaining in the bag. When I tried again with a fresh bag, there was much less air but it wasn't fully air-free. It could be user error but I followed the directions step by step. Hopefully with more experience, it'll become much more efficient. I always buy fresh produce locally when it's in season and have always frozen it accordingly in regular freezer bags but I like that the vacuum sealer removes all air and helps prevent freezer burn and maintains freshness. I look forward to using it a lot more frequently during garden season.
