Mixed thoughts on these. They will keep eggs cleaner, but you must block access when the birds roost at night. Otherwise, they love to sleep on these pads and fill them with poo. One good thing is they're easy to remove and a couple shakes will dislodge the droppings. So they're healthier and can be reused. Don't remove the paper bottom. This holds the fiber together. This is my second set in 2-3 months, so if handled with care, they will last a bit longer. Also, since they are cushiony, I don't get cracked or broken eggs. I also find that although I have 6 laying bins, the birds will leave one unsullied and all lay in that one and poop in the other five. I have roosting bars but they prefer the laying bins in winter. Oh well…

It's made good and I received it very quick but so far , my chickens haven't used it!. I've only had it for a week , and it is that time of the year where they don't lay as many eggs. I'm not able to say either way.. good or bad.
