The NETGEAR AC1200 (EX6110) range extender is brilliant. It dramatically boosts your Wi-Fi's reach, delivering excellent speed and eliminating annoying buffering. Streaming high-quality content is now seamless everywhere in my house. For extending your signal easily and reliably, this device is a fantastic, simple solution that just works.!! Easy to set up everyone!!!
I have an office in a separate building behind my house. I needed to boost the Wi-Fi signal for my job. This unit worked exactly as I needed it to do. Remember to put it close to where you need extra signal. I originally had it about halfway between my office and the house. Once I moved it to my office to put a signal closer to my computer it worked great.
We have no cell coverage without wifi and our internet is spotty. These extenders strengthen our internet on both floors of the house and now we can use our cell phones in our yard and in the garage, approximately 100 feet from the house! Going from no coverage to outside the house is amazing. GREAT BUY!!!
So far, so good. I have rooms upstairs away from my router downstairs. I placed the extender in an outlet at the top of the stairs and wasn't sure the connection would reach to the the upstairs rooms, but it does. As others have mentioned, the instructions in the box aren't very clear nor helpful for setup, but there are YouTube videos that explain and are very helpful. The lowest rating I gave was for setup ease. It's a bit combersome, but it's doable if your patient.
I'm not tech savvy. My nephew told me this one was ready to set up and worked well. His sister was assuredly the one using it.... she said out worked well. It was a decent price, so I went for it. Glad I did! Took me a little bit past easy to set up ....because my router didn't have a 'wps' button(which I still don't even know what that is?), but once I realized my data was off on my phone, the set up turned out much easier than I was making it out to be! Definitely would recommend!
After setting up the wifi TV in the basement I realized that the wifi signal was barely strong enough for the TV to pick it up. I hiked to the nearest Walmart and picked this up. Initial installation was pretty easy, however, I found that this extender would only pick up on the 2G network and not the 5G. I was about to return it but figured I'd search YouTube to see if I could find info on how to connect to 5G. Sure enough, I found a walkthrough and got it working. The directions that are included with the extender are not very detailed and Netgear could definitely do a better job of explaining how to set up the extender. Other than that, it's working as it should and the basement TV has full bars for wifi signal.
this is my 2nd system. 1st one had died on me. this one occasionally has the device light show red. I have to restart it to make it work again. I wish I knew why it does it. When I emailed the company on my last one they said it was probably a product malfunction. I hope it doesn't happen with this one again. other than that it works fine.
easy to hook up with Xfinity internet but kind of challenging to hook up with T-Mobile's internet having trouble getting it to connect for my wife at her mother's house to extend the internet in the house further it's harder to connect to T-Mobile Xfinity has a button on the router that you can click in a connects real easy to the Wi-Fi extender The T-Mobile one supposedly doesn't have that button
I found Netgear to help set up the insulation of this product. he told me the only way it will work is if I commit to a contract minimum cost of $130 3 years, 160 for 5 years, or $200 for lifetime. this product will not work unless you sign up with them.
The extender would never connect to my wireless network despite over two hours of resetting and trying different frequencies, web based setup, etc. Stickers on the box suggested that the item had been returned to Walmart before. After contacting Walmart many times by phone and email getting one run around after another, finally a customer service rep said that he would just process a refund and that I did not have to return the product. No refund was processed. When I called Walmart again, they denied that I had ever been told that (even though I told them to get the tape of the call which I don't think they ever did). Since I'd been in the middle of a move, I discarded the extender when told that I didn't have to return it so now Walmart refused to give me a refund, credit or anything. I will never buy anything from Walmart again. I thought they were a customer oriented company but clearly they are not. I've never had a bad experience like this with Amazon.
