New A League of Their Own / The Natural (Multi-Feature) (Blu-ray)

I bought this because I wanted the Blu-ray copy of The Natural. I wasn't so interested in A League of Their Own until I watched it and had forgotten what a good movie it really is. I'll just say that I enjoyed everything about it especially Tom Hanks. The one thing the movie did not need was the very lame song sung by Madonna. The picture on both movies is crisp and clear as is the sound. Both movies are subtitled. Plenty of extras on both movies. This set is two blu-rays both from the original Blu-ray release of both movies. I bought this for less than I would have paid for The Natural by itself. I was really glad I did. If you like baseball you will love both of these movies especially at this price. Not much needs to be said about the Natural. It's one of Redford's best movies and it's very well done for a period peace movie. The baseball scenes are great, well staged and the movie has that rousing heroic finish which is what every good sports film needs. For the price it's worth every penny.

Both these movies are really good. I wanted a better copy of A League of Their Own, but was happy with getting The Natural along with it, as I didn't have that movie in my collection. Really two of the better baseball themed movies. Right up there with Field of Dreams and Major League.
