This is a good fit for what I was looking for.
first one had water leak, called on Friday, talked to them I had another one on Monday this one works really well thanks to newair I was only without ice for about a week
My ice maker was not making ice any longer and I contact there customer suppsup service and spoke to melissa. She helped me out right away and they are sending me a new ice maker. One of the easiest and best companies you can buy from and they stand behind there products!!
WOW! Just one fill makes more ice then I thought. Couldn't quite figure out why the low water light kept coming on with half filled tray. Just empty tray, and let the Ice maker continue until the tank is near empty. Best investment I made in a long time.
Did a lot of research and decided on the NewAir Al-1000. It does a fantastic job. I would recommend this item to anyone!
I recently bought a refrigerator that does not have an icemaker, so I thought I'd give this a try. I'm so glad I did. It works great. I highly recommend it.
This machine is sleek and works just as described. The ice falls into the bin and eventually, if not used, will start to slowly melt. The water is then recycled to make more ice. Perfect size for what we purchased it for.
I received this as a gift from family and I have loved it ever since. I makes ice quickly and it's very easy to use. One thing about it though is that sometimes it'll make noises that makes it sound like it's breaking or something, but it's usually fixed by adding more water.
We like our ice maker… this is our second one. The first one we had an issue with. We ran it for about a week, but when it was turned off it would short out or something. The lights on the front panel would light up crazy, like a slot machine…??? My ONLY issues at this time are: The unit is NOT cold enough to keep the made ice whole. If the tray fills and you don’t empty it RIGHT away the ice begins to melt. Then your left with a big cube of partial ice cubes. So you can’t just run it and use casually. Also I make and dump into a container in my freezer. The holding basket does not hold enough ice to just run it and go about your day. So given the above two issues I have to consciously have ice making time. Basically babysit the unit while making ice to refill our supply. Also due to the shape of the ice (think thick wine glass without the stem, the ice forms around a frozen metal rod), I find it melts faster then a solid formed cube. I have a Yeti bottle that I keep with me 24/7 with water, and this ice does not last as long as like ‘Bag ice’. Overall this product fills our needs, but has some issues and annoyances.
Booth $250 machine and after 14 months it just stopped working and they didn't offer me anything since I was outside of the 12 months warranty I was going to buy a new unit and they could offer me anything better than what was on the site and I'm already out $250! Go to a different company I was on with customer service for 2 hours!!
