I absolutely love this trash can! You don't have to touch the trash or the trash can after you let it leave your hand until you take the trash bag out of the can to place it in the dumpster. It was easy to set up and understand how to use. It was delivered on time and it was reasonably priced.

Love this garbage can, but it scares me everyday !! We had an older garbage can that you step on a lever to open but it had broken and we decided to get an automatic one. We decided on this one because the price was right, others are so expensive!! We have to walk past the garbage can to go into the kitchen and if we walk too close it will open and it scares me everyday time. It sounds like an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser. So it's not loud but I've never had an automatic one before so my garbage can making any noise is different for me lol We love it because I swear we can fit more garbage in it, it's the standard size can but I don't if our old one was very tapered at the bottom but this one we can pack it in ! Don't forget to buy batteries! I forgot and couldn't use it for a couple days. It stays open for how ever long you stand over it dumping something out. Closes slowly and silently. You can hold the bottom down to make it stop opening so people can't see in your garbage if you don't want them to. There is a black ring that you put your liner in and the you tuck it into the can so you don't see your garbage bag hanging over it have to worry about it falling in.

Though it salutes you if you walk close to it even if you ate not discarding something, it works well! We especially appreciate the locking rim that holds the garbage bag and keeps it firmly in place. In use for a month it has not required any battery replacement or any other service.

This trash can looks nice and works fine, but it does not have a full can liner like my previous trash can. It only has a ring to hold the bag in place so it doesn't control odors well, causing me to need to change the bag more often. I didn't think having no liner would make that much of a difference, but it does.

I am very pleased with the Nine Stars Automatic Kitchen Trash Can; the quality is excellent, with a sturdy stainless steel finish and a motion sensor that works reliably for hands-free convenience. I was able to pick this up at a great price from Walmart, and the quick and easy delivery meant I had it set up in my kitchen in no time. However, one significant drawback is the inconvenient battery type; it requires C batteries rather than the standard AA or AAA sizes most people keep on hand. While the soft-close lid and sleek design are top-notch, having to buy specialty batteries is a bit of a nuisance

While the can itself is totally functional and easy to look at it is VERY very loud. It makes a loud sigh when it opens and when it closes. It started to drive me nuts after about a week so I often just lock the lid in the open position and manually open and close with the button and not use the sensor (it's pretty sensitive which I wouldn't mind if it didn't audibly complain at me every time it opened and closed)

ITEM ARRIVED DAMAGED FROM STORE WITH DENTS ON THE FRONT. ALSO ARRIVED WITH NO PACKAGING OR BOX WHATSOEVER. CAN ONLY RETURN VIA FEDEX %26 HAVE TO BOX IT UP IN ORDER TO RETURN FROM HOME. OTHERWISE, SAYS HAVE TO RETURN TO STORE WHICH I AM UNABLE TO DO FOR HEALTH REASONS. SO IT APPEARS I'M STUCK WITH A $60 DENTED GARBAGE CAN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR DELIVERY FROM ANY STORE, AS THERE'S NO GUARANTEE IT WILL COME IN THE PROTECTIVE PACKAGING FROM MANUFACTURER.

The only reason I gave this a one star is that the description states you need 2 batteries it actually requires 3 do you know how frustrating that is when your trashcan broke at almost midnight and you had to spend the time trying to find the best deal out there?! So you order the trashcan and 2 batteries. Then it gets delivered and you start setting it up and the battery cover states 3 batteries. WALMART YOU NEED TO FIX THE PRODUCT SUMMARY !!

We only had this trashcan for two months and the lid already stopped working. The lid will now only open about an inch instead of the full way. We changed the batteries a few times and that's not the issue. Don't waste your money on this one.

Lid doesn't close all the way, leaving a gap too big to ignore, especially for a trash can that will be used in the kitchen. Tried calling the seller, but they don't pick up the phone. Sent them an email with pictures, but they never replied. Returning.
