if you need a medicated chapstick, this gave instant relief. My story: the corners of my mouth were so chapped and dry that I could not open my mouth more than halfway. My lips for completely healed in under 48 hours. If I had applied in more on day 1, it would have been healed in under 24 hours. For me, it does sting a little bit not uncomfortable but you notice it. The had no issues eating or drinking after applying it. you can smell the menthol but it kinda smells like cinnamon. I recommend this for when you r lips need (like it's called) recovery. For a daily chapstick, I use NIVEA Moisture. Smells nice, works great.

I was not happy that this lip balm has a strong menthol-like aroma/"taste". You cannot eat or drink with it on your lips without ruining the taste of your food.
