The unit itself is okay except that the right arm bolt holes were off center and the bolt would not seat correctly. The drilled holes (right arm) were 1/32" off so the bolt heads would not seat correctly. The left arm bolts seated perfectly. I called the customer service from NordicTrack and the service is horrendous, the hold time is 30 minutes both times I called. The script for troubleshooting is read question by question instead of common sense reasoning. (The young man who helped me was very kind and pleasant). The rep wanted me to exchange the bolts on each arm to see if they fit better that way????!!!??? I was also told that this was an assembly defect and is not covered under warranty until I explained that this was a manufacturing defect to the rep- once again- scripted trouble shooting started all over. All in all, it only took an hour and 38 minutes to come to the conclusion that the bolts would not line up and a correctly drilled part was needed. Even with a camera view the rep did not understand the issue but finally agreed to send a new arm in 7 to 10 business days. I am looking forward to finally getting to use my Eliptical, but I waited 10 days for shipping and now another 10 days for a manufacturing error. The rep did say I could use the eliptical if I tightened the bolts and any damage would be covered under warranty, hmmmmmm?!?!?
Delivery to garage. Had to use dolly to get to basement due to weight. Extensive assembly really a 2-person job. Machine locked until activated on website, however the link provided takes you to a place where the only options are to select a $/month membership to online fitness program by iFit. Eventually figured out how to get unlocked without joining.
Machine is well made, iFIT is good idea but needs lots of work, too much talk. But I will give it a shot. Speaker don’t use Bluetooth to play phone audio, needs Aux? But my main problem was same as one of the other reviewer who gave 1 star. Because of it I might have to return this huge elliptical if I hadn’t found the solution. Even after iFIT activation, console showed power but was stuck in highest resistance. I also noticed that moving elliptical wasn’t counting my pace or distance. That gave me a clue that the issue could be with the cable connection from base to console. Once I connected the two cables other way it worked like a charm. This connector design needs improvements, it snaps either way, one way we get into this problem (console powers but no data is recorded, machine gets stuck at highest resistance), other way it works as expected.
This elliptical is perfect for what I need. I’m recovering from knee surgery and this is perfect to avoid the pounding when I run outdoors but still gives the cardio workout I need. No fan built in but ok. I have not activated the ifit yet but will wait when I’m stronger, but Machine works without it.
Machine (mechanically) and assembly OK, though requiring >3 hours. I was NOT interested at all in subscribing to an expensive "iFit" account, but it seemed to be required to get the machine to work at all. It is NOT. In an obscure corner of one or the other of the many web sites encountered along my very frustrating path, I learned that I needed to press the "iFit" button on the console, hold it for ~30 seconds, and it skips right to using the machine in manual mode. (How to actually get the iFit stuff working is not at all clear, and I have no intention of finding out.) This is NOT documented in the instructions. Now, I have to worry about cancelling the expensive automatically-charging subscription. The support web site, purported to be 24/7, is worse than useless. There is NO support person to answer questions, whether by voice or "chat." The automated bot to answer questions has the IQ of a rock... and a rather stupid rock, at that. All in all, this has to have been the most frustrating web experience I have had in a very, very long time. For a piece of equipment meant to increase my fitness and decrease my stress, it has done exactly the opposite, so far. Beyond the "activation" fiasco, I rate the display console functionality as poor. Rather than being able to display simultaneously several data points of interest (e.g., resistance setting, elapsed time, RPM), it only shows one data point at a time. It can automatically cycle through the points (also careful attention to figure WHICH point is being displayed), or you can manually select which single item to present. Either way is much less useful than seeing all three at the same time. Regarding machine function, I note that the minimum resistance setting still requires significant effort, rather than being a nearly effortless setting for initial muscle warm up or final cool down. This is fine for a fit person, but it's NOT for everyone. Whether the machine will stack up against the original cross-country-ski Nordic track I've been using daily for ~27 years remains to be seen.
After spending a couple of hours assembling the machine and going through the annoying activation process, the interior mechanics make a terrible clicking sound and then increases the resistance to max all on its own. I've been emailing iFit's customer service for three weeks with no resolution and phone wait times are an hour or more. Unfortunately, this will likely be returned.
The rights elliptical foot pedal literally broke off from main body. Getting the run around from Walmart, Allstate, and NordicTrack concerning the warranty. Purchased 01/21/2022, broke 2/14/2022.
I was so excited to get my elliptical!! I had to wait 2 extra weeks because the sister company that does the delivery wouldn't deliver it. When it did arrive the box was tore up and my equipment had dents and pieces of it broken. Walmart did a free job of shipping it but I would suggest not using the delivery company !!
Horrible machine not worth the money. It doesnt glide ride and shreds metal particles on my floor everytime I use it.
I am very upset I purchased this machine which is great then I saw it online 7 days later and it was 200 dollars less...walmart would not do anything to help...they suggested I return it and buy another one at the less expensive price...very frustrating
