Purchased this Norpro Plastic Nylon Baster, 1 EA, Black for $7.73, Sold by KART IT | Fulfilled by Walmart. Pleased with it. It's exactly what I wanted.
This item basted my Thank turkey very nicely
this is a excellent product
Works as a baster should! I had my old one for many years...so it's nice to have a new one that works!
this is a excellent baster, considering the price.
I chose to purchase this baster because it guaranteed delivery before Thanksgiving, unlike other options that wouldn't arrive until after the holiday. While it performs well, I was disappointed by its higher price compared to alternatives. Given that we only use it occasionally, I anticipate it will last for a long time. However, it's frustrating to feel like I overpaid, especially since I placed my order a month in advance of Thanksgiving.
Would buy again
I haven't used this one yet but have owned others in the past. I like them quite well but after a year or two the rubber bulb always gets cracks and will no longer draw up liquids. No problems with the plastic tube part but it's useless when the bulb fails.
haven't usedyet, bought 4 thanksgiving. in washing seems sturdy and secure bulb with good suction. good value
I had to use a cable tie around the base of the bulb to maintain suction so any liquid I was using wouldn't just spurt out before getting to the turkey, roast, another pot, etc. Someone else I know used a hose clamp. Mine works fine now, just makes it a little harder to clean but just suck up some good "tough-on-grease" dish soap and very hot water, then shake, especially the bulb, to make sure you get it clean. I'd also recommend, depending on usage, to occasionally do a deep cleaning by removing the cable tie and then replacing it. They don't cost much and they're good to have on hand anyway. I must have received a bad one.
