Northwest Lap Desk with Light and Cup Holder for Laptops up to 15” (Blue)

Bought this item after carefully reading all reviews. It was a good move coz after seeing and using I know this one will really serve its purpose. I can place my laptop anywhere with it i.e. lap, bed) without being bothered that my laptop will overheat. Its also very comfortable in my lap because of the beads under it. I haven't tried using the cup holder and light though coz I have table beside me and I like working with lights on.

I have a similar laptop buddy that is pink & white with multi-colored owls. I spent over $35 on it at Barnes and Noble some time ago and my son used to borrow it all the time then return it before any of his friends came over. It was finally time to get him his own and we went to Barnes and Noble and checked online at Amazon but I didn't want to spend more than $20 especially since I already had one and this would essentially be an extra to save my 10 year old's ego... Anyway, we went to Walmart.com and found this little beauty for a fraction of the price everywhere else! It was only $13.35 + tax and free ship to store. For less than $15 my son got his own lap-top buddy complete with beverage holder and light and we couldn't be happier. This is the BEST $15 you'll ever spend! It's just as durable as mine (which is over 8 years old)! I highly recommend this to anyone who likes to surf the net while in bed or on the coach or who likes to read in bed at night!

I have an IPad and a laptop. I saw this advertised on a popular shopping network and almost bought it. With the shipping it was over $23. I decided to check on Walmart's website and found the exact same item for half the price. This lap desk is well made, durable and light. I use it every day for both my computers and for my meals in front of my TV. Great for writing or doing bills too. I just love it. Much better than an ordinary tray.

I've owned the older version for over 6 years. BTW I love the new light set up and storage space! I still use my old one. I've even had to replace the beads inside with fiber fill and it's still going strong. The new one is a gift and I recommend this desk to all ages of users.

I wouldn't use it for a laptop, but it's fine for writing activities, games, reading a hard cover book in bed (yes, I'm one of the rare people who still enjoy actual books) etc...Also, a nice little snack lap table. Sometimes placing a pillow underneath to provide height is warranted. I recommend it.

I've been using my laptop on my lap on a "lap desk" for several years now and have gone thru several different lap desks. This one has one large pillow rather than the two narrow pillows of the other brands, so it is a lot more comfortable for my knees. My computer is too large for me to be able to use the drink cutout, but if I were ever to use this lap desk for my tablet that might be an option. `The light isn't all that helpful for me - it casts a shadow from my hands over the keys, so if I didn't touch type I wouldn't be able to see the keys to hunt and peck. The light tends to shine into my eyes, too. I won't be using it. This desk cost a couple of dollars more than the ones I got at the outlet store, but I think it is worth it due to the comfort of the pillow.

I have a dell inspiron 15r and it barely fits when using the light and a drink which was a big reason why I got this. However the light is not bright enough but works ok. The other reason was because at night when Im in bed I don't like having it on fabric because it obstructs the cooling system which will destroy a computer if it over heats for periods of time. I no not recommend putting a glass or cup on the cup holder but a bottle or can may be ok. I am overall satisfied with this product and was impressed with the shipping as I ordered on 9/11 at night and got it on the 9/14 using only the basic shipping to upstate new York region. Provides enough vent area under laptop to allow fresh cool air and since I got this my laptop is no longer getting hot on the bottom so I do not think a fan equipped cooling pad is necessary. Wish they had this in green!!! :P

I was very happy when this product arrived. It was made nicely, light weight on you lap. Cute little light with a easy place to store it. Cup holder is pretty small, but great for a hand full of M&Ms to snack on. For the price it was a great buy. Use it everyday.

The top is so slick everything slides off so easily to the point it's not really usable. I am returning it. Buyer beware!
