I have eczema and this is the best product yet for my face and skin
Good product. Thank you.
Don't know if it's suppose to be hard but I melt in the microwave. I like the way it feels
Exactly what I need, but it is a bit tough to remove chunks from the jar to be melted with other product in making my bars.
This is the main ingredient in the lotion I make. It works great and smells so nice #sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I trust this product and use it for a skin cream goes on smooth and really softens my skiin in the winter I also use on my feet and makes them super soft.
Used both for skin care and chocolate truffles. Love this stuff.
Overall, I like the quality of this product. It's rich and smells wonderful. I have begun to use it in making body butters after learning that the ubiquitous shea butter contains natural latex, and I'm allergic to latex. The problem with the product is not the product itself. It's the packaging and deception of the weight. First, it's impossible to get out of the jar unless it's heated in either the microwave (which means BE SURE TO REMOVE EVERY BIT OF THE FOIL LINER) or in boiling water - both of which destroy the jar so it can't be used again. The "7 oz" is misleading. It's actually 7 fluid ounces, not a measure of weight. For the reviewers who commented that they can't scoop it out per the instructions, keep in mind that cocoa butter must be added to other carrier oils such as almond oil, grapeseed oil, etc. to be rubbed into the skin. By itself, it would be like trying to rub beeswax into the skin.
I used to buy this cocoa butter because it was truly 100% pure with a natural cocoa smell. Unfortunately, the new version is very different: the label no longer says “100% pure,” (but website does) the ingredients now include citric acid, the colour and texture have changed, and it has little to no scent. The website still claims this is “100% Pure Cocoa Butter,” which is misleading. Very disappointed, the product is no longer 100% pure as advertised, and I cannot use it due to a skin reaction.
We believe our container has Shea butter and not cocoa butter. The product appearance does not look anything like cocoa butter nor does it have the distinctive cocoa smell. It smells like the 2 lbs of Shea butter we already have in our cupboard.
