We used a pill crusher, our rescue dog was a puppy mill dog who lived her entire life in a four foot high cage. All metal, so comfortable place to lay. She tried to chew the wiring of the cage so,much, most of her teeth were worn to the nub, or broken off. The soft chew version she didn’t like the taste, so we went with this version and after crushing the pill with a pill crusher, we would sprinkle it into our home made dog food. Her name is Ellee, they believe she is at least ten. She is a Beagle/Corgi mix, and they believe she had been breeding her entire life. She has front shoulder ligament issues, arthritis, and slight hip dysplasia. She still,is a little stiff when she gets up, but her best days are all ahead of her…she loves to run and chase squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks in our large yard.
When I first got my greyhound at almost age 3, she had a broken leg from racing. Every 2 to 3 months she would walk with a limp. A friend told me about cosequin. Eventually the limp disappeared. She is now 10 years old and gets her cosequin every day.!
AMAZING! The dosage changes to a lower maintenance amount after the first month. In that first month, our Boston Terrier went from struggling to climb up a ramp into the back seat, to LEAPING UP ONTO THE SEAT! Since then he has continued to improve. Spot turns 14 this month and I just bought another two month supply of this medicine. At this rate going, we'll have him with us and I'll be buying Cosequin for a lot longer. I think I'll sell the doggie ramp.
This product is one of the primary reasons my senior dog is still thriving today. After having both of her knees rebuilt, this product has truly proven its worth. We have been using it for around a year, and she loves the flavor! Thank you!
my Labrador loves these so much he thinks they are treats! i was getting these chewables from Amazon but found they are cheaper here! Great product for your pet; my vet was thrilled that I was giving them.
Cosequin gives my 11year old Mixed Breed Cur girl a spring in her step. She keeps up with the mail carrier and the UPS driver very well! I'm glad she can still have quality of life with Cosequin!
I started giving this to my 10yo boxer baby on April 6th because I started noticing she was having trouble getting up after laying down for awhile and she was limping a little in her back leg. So far it’s seemed to help her, she still jumps around and plays like a puppy at times (on her own not from me making her) but she’s older now and I want to help her the best I can so I’m hoping this is one way. Her vet said these will help, but only so much, that she might need other arthritis meds if this doesn’t show signs of helping her after 6 weeks of use and that they do have to be given consistently to show improvement, I give her 3 a day right now (based on her size), when I take my vitamins in the morning so I don’t forget and then after the initial 6 weeks I can drop down to a maintenance dose of 1-2 a day. She’s been on them a little over a month now and they’re already showing signs of helping her so hopefully at the 6 week mark she will be even better. Anything that keeps my fur babies healthy and happy is a win in my book!! Plus she loves them so they must taste good too!
Great supplement that helps ease an old 14 yr. old dog's difficulty walking and climbing stairs. He has been taking these supplements for about a year now and has much less difficulty walking & going up and down stairs and even occasionally will actually run a little outside.
Too bad, it doesn’t work on my seven year old chihuahua girl coco, this is the second time I bought, Hoping it will help with my cocos joint pain, still won’t. But I still will continue with it while I’m looking for a different one that will work.
