Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Spray for Dogs and Cats, 8 oz.

A couple of weeks ago one of my Shih Tzu's was chewing on her front leg. They were getting shots at the Vet's so I asked about it and they had me put a collar on her. The poor little thing didn't know how to handle it. Neither did I. She couldn't eat or drink and just stood in the middle of the room. (You may not know that Shih Tzu's are not the smartest puppies. They are quiet lovers!) I was taking the collar off so she could drink. Then it came off so she could eat. This wasn't working. I use Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Shampoo for all my pups. I did some research and tried the Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Spray for Dogs and Cats by Veterinary Formula Clinical Care. It worked wonders. I took her collar off. Her arm finally healed! Her fur hasn't grown back yet but everything is healed and she is no longer in pain, scratching and itching. I highly recommend the hot spot %26 Itch spray.

My senior dog, Toby, was having a terrible time recently, biting at an itch that just would not go away at the base of his tail, and I got this Hot Spot Itch Relief spray at the same time, hoping it would work. I was desperate, really, because usually he had no problems of this sort because he was on an overall flea, tick and heartworm medicine that took care of all those itch-related critters that would normally cause any kind of skin irritation. In fact, I had no clue what was causing the itch, but it assumed it was some little bug of some sort. Because he couldn't take his heartworm meds because of a medical condition, I was given the go-ahead to try this spray, thankfully, so after reviewing the directions and making sure it was okay for him to have it, I tried one application at night the day I received it. This would have been about three days after he had started scratching and biting at the base of his tail, and he'd do it about once every hour to two hours for minutes and minutes on end, driving himself and me both crazy. Well, by the next morning, he was already biting at the area only a few times! I went ahead and sprayed the area again, and for the next few hours, I only saw him biting at the same area ONE TIME! I was amazed. No lie. I'm not being paid for my opinion and always give an honest one, good or bad. I have to say I was incredibly impressed. I ended up not even NEEDING to give him another "dose" of the spray, because he didn't even NEED one. I separated the fur a bit in the area where he'd been biting at it to have a look, and it was only slightly pinkish in color, but the skin itself was already starting to heal. Happy dog, happy dog owners. Incredible stuff, and I honestly do believe he would have continued to scratch and bite, and whatever it was causing the skin irritation healed because of the spray and did not heal magically on its own. I definitely am keeping that spray by my side if I need it with the other two dogs or Toby again, and cannot recommend it more highly!!!

This spray is easy to use and my dog seems to love it. First the cooling sensation and then the pain/itch relief. From the very first night I used this on her, I realized I wished I had known about this before. I have no idea what made my dog scratch and bite at her fur, but now she doesn't do so. She doesn't have fleas. She is an inside dog except for necessary trips to a spacious fenced piece of property, so she has no contact with other animals and this prevents lots of problems. So wherever the itch was coming from is gone. Works so well on her that I feel tempted (almost) to use it personally sometimes. Back to that first night of usage.. The dog slept well, and so did I . No weird sounds coming from her. No clanging of the buckle on her collar hitting the kitchen floor. So it is a relief for both of us. She feels better and so do I. Neat product and I recommend it.

With summer coming my puppy keeps getting all these sites, hotspots and rashes. Veterinary Formula Hot spot and itch cream has been the best thing I have come across. With just a few uses the itch is gone. My puppy loved this stuff. It's easy to use you just spray on so you don't even have to get your hands wet the smell is pleasant so I don't mind using it and best of all my dogs don't fight me using it on them.

I have used this for a couple of weeks to see if it helps and it really does. My dog gets itchy and scratchy this time of year so have to treat her. This has helped a lot. She actually gets sleep at night and not all scratchy. I would recommend this to pet owners. It is easy to use. Just spray on till wet, this is a fine mist. Works for my dog. Love when my dog is happy.

My cat is getting older and has a break out form his back of a type of heat rash bumps and scratches the hair off his ears, this stuff has been a lifesaver for him and me. It stops him from scratching and hurting his back by scratching it raw. Plus I spray it into my hands and rub it into his ears and he doesn't scratch then anymore, and his hair has grown back on his ears. It does have a peppery smell from some ingredients but it doesn't seem to hurry thr cat, it seems to give him relief, so I would recommend

I was worried to try an OTC product out other than one from the Vet. I tried it on myself first and then my cat! First I want to say it was safe on her skin. She is severely allergic to fleas and I'm in a constant battle between treatments and the vet etc. I feel this did help her get some relief on her spots where her hair went missing and seemed to be more itchy. After a week of using twice daily(as directed) I definitely noticed her not bothering that spot constantly. The skin even seems to be healing. Overall I'm pleased with the product and I'm going to even suggest it to my Vet next check up.

We have 2 long haired cats who seems to have fur tangles/mattes ALL THE TIME even though we constantly brush them. Most of the time, they try to bite and lick the spot till they finally get it out and that causes trouble for us because we don't notice them right away and I don't know what they do, probably chew, lick and bite the area but product worked miracles for us. We used this once a day and it worked!! They stopped chewing, scratching, whatever they do after we sprayed it on the spot. It has a little fragrance to it but nothing overwhelming. Took about a week or so till our cats finally stop picking on the dpot. Anyway, I gave the rest to my inlaws and it seems to be working for their dog as well. I will have to buy for our cats now. By the way, shipping was fast and product came in peefect condition, no leaks as you see in the picture.

My cat developed a problem with itchy spots on her back, I don't know why, but she was constantly scratching or trying to scratch her back. I have tried multiple treatments for a cat's skin from shampoo to sprays to creams. This Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot spray has been the best so far, I like the design of the spray top, . I spray the area thoroughly (about 3-6 sprays as many times as necessary during the week) and she gotten much better, not constantly trying to scratch anymore and seems more relaxed. Also has soothing ingredients to help skin heal. The scent is clean and mild. Even if itching is from mites or other insect bites, it takes a couple or more days for the old bite sites to stop itching after you've used flea, tick or mite drops, so this spray was great for immediate relief. No burns or side effects, I think she is getting the relief she needs. Just follow the directions on the bottle and you will notice in 48 hours that it is working. Remember to stop after two weeks of daily use. Always consult your Vet if your pet continues to itch.

I sprayed this on my Great Danes back side at 8pm and by 10 am the next morning he was dead. He was only 5 and healthy no previous health issues. Come to find out lidocaine is extremely dangerous for dogs if ingested . This product is so dangerous and negligent!! DO NOT RISK YOUR PETS LIFE FOR THIS SPRAY
