We're on our second bottle of this I have pitbull with itchy skin that he will actually eat until he has open soars and this has helped so much. The hair is growing back. It's not an overnight things it's a medication but you will notice relief over time. Also use the spray and I love them both

A must have if your pet has skin issues. My cat has itchy spots during the hotter months. The vet said it was a simple dermatitis causing flaking and itchiness. I've tried the shampoo 2 times since getting it. It seems to be working and a major relief for my cat! She doesn't scratch as much. We will continue doing 2 shampoos weekly as directed until the irritation subsides. I would highly recommend this to any dog or cat owner to have on hand. Gives your fur babies much needed itch relief!

Have used this vet formula clinical care for hot spot and itch relief a couple of times now on our 11 year old dachshund and it really seems to be helping. She has always had a problem with scratching and licking certain areas on her body and we have tried so many different medicated shampoos that just never seem to give her any relief. This shampoo seriously seems to be doing the trick and the thing I noticed most is that she is no longer licking her back where it seems she had a hot spot. The itchiness and scratching also seems to be a lot less and am hoping with continued use that the itching will go away also. Very happy with the results and so happy that she is getting relief with the use of this medicated shampoo!

My girl is a short haired pittie and as summer has come in with a bang, so has her skin issues. Dry, flaky, and itchy skin has appeared around her lower spine and tail area. She’s starting to have scabbed areas from the chewing and licking. We’ve used this shampoo a couple of times already and have seen an improvement already-to the point the hair is slowly coming back in. A soft clean scent and and colorless almost gel like texture make it easy and pleasant to bathe her. She didn’t seem to have any irritation from the actual application or in the hours following and it got her white hair whiter. So happy we found this shampoo.

Medicated Shampoo for Dogs and Cats My dog Ranger and I live in Tucson, AZ. It’s very hot and dry. Ranger had been doing some scratching due to dry skin and he was chewing on his paws. His paws were cracked and dry. I’ve now used this shampoo three (3) times over the last 2 weeks. I have noticed that Ranger has stopped almost all of his scratching. From what I’ve seen, I think that will get even better with more treatments. When it comes to his paws, I put some water in a small kiddie pool and added some of the medicated shampoo and then had Ranger stand in the water for about 15 minutes. We did this all three times that we have used the shampoo. Please understand, I have also been putting a little bit of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on his paws. I’m sure the Vaseline has helped, but I really do believe that using both the Vaseline and the shampoo together has helped more than either one would have done on their own. Something that I’m really please with is that the medicated shampoo does not smell like medicine. It has a nice clean smell and leaves Ranger smelling good. His fur dries very soft and looking nice. I will keep using this shampoo in the future and would recommend it to anyone with a pet rather they are having trouble with their skin or not. Fight the problem before it happens.

We finally had a warm sunny day and gave the dog a bath. The shampoo laters upwell and has a pleasant scent. Cinnamon had been itching a lot and she was so happy for a warm sunny day she rolled in the grass and poop! (Yuck) So she was really not smelling good at all! After her bath she smelled great and I have noticed she is barely scratching. I’m expecting it will take a couple baths to really end the scratching but there is a noticeable difference after one bath.

My dog was scratching like crazy from flea bites. I received this shampoo a week ago and have applied it 2 times already with terrific results. I applied the shampoo and left it on for 5 minutes and no more scratching. I gave her capstar before giving her the bath with this shampoo. No more scratching and no more fleas. I will be using it every time I bathe her. Great results, I highly recommend.

This review is for the 16 ounce Veterinary Formula Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo. I used it on my 12-pound Poodle/French Bulldog mix for his severe flea allergy. If he gets one flea, he scratches himself endlessly. He has been very miserable. He chews at his back so much that the hair falls off and he has a bald spot. I was super excited for him when I was given this product to try. I tried it out immediately when it arrived. I lathered him up well, let it sit for 10 minutes, and made sure I rinsed it all out. The shampoo had a very light and pleasant smell, and lathered very well. It also rinsed out very quickly. Once he was dry, I noticed the scratching and chewing immediately stopped! I was so happy for him. Finally, some relief from the torture he endured. The shampoo is lightly scented, so I was also happy about that. It did not dry out his hair; in fact, his hair seemed softer and shinier then before. I have only had to bathe him once a week to eliminate his symptoms, even though it is recommended to bathe him twice a week. I cannot wait to see if his hair starts growing back! Another thing I like about this product is that it does not have a long list of ingredients, and most of the ingredients I recognize and feel comfortable about. It is also paraben dye and soap free, and veterinary recommended. These are all qualities you would expect from more expensive products lines. The fact that it is reasonably priced is wonderful! If your dog is suffering like mine was, please do not hesitate to give this shampoo a try.

I absolutely love the hotspot and itch relief, medicated shampoo, and the spray. I also use and love the antiseptic antifungal medicated, shampoo and spray. I have four English bulldogs that go through a thorough wipe down every night and I use these products on all of them. The products are very gentle and have helped me keep my four fur babies clean. I truly recommend these products and will continue using them myself. 🐾❤️

I have tried to use this shampoo twice now with unsuccessful results. It's my fault for not realizing that you must keep it on for ten minutes. I'd give it a higher rating if I thought that caveat would be easily accomplished by any dog owner. Pros: Smells nice and slightly citrus~y. It also lathers well. Cons: made no difference to my dog's itchiness because I couldn't keep him still with the shampoo lathered on him for 10 minutes. Hope this helps!
