this still has stickiness, I know that they probably lose stickiness over time when you have to buy new ones eventually. I appreciate the price on this one. next time I would probably get the four panel but the three panel is what I could afford for this time.
I had abdominal surgery 2 weeks ago. My surgeon told me to wear a binder everyday day until my follow-up appointment in a month. My surgeon said the first thing my husband should do is cut the hospital binder in half lengthwise, both to make it fit better (it went a good deal above and below my sutures), and for comfort. Let me add, it also made it much more comfortable. Even with turning the one hospital binder into 2, I wanted more so I could hand wash the dirty ones, give them time to air dry, and have an extra backup binder, just in case. This binder is even better than the one my hospital gave me. That one was 5 elastic bands, and this one is four. When my husband cut the 5 band hospital one, he had to go right through the elastic and it started to fray already. He could just cut this one in half between the elastic bands, and it kind of made its own seam. After going through abdominal surgery, and being told my bowling bowl sized protrusion has a big chance of returning, I am being very compliant with post-op instructions. This binder makes it easy to do. PS- My surgeon suggested putting a thin cloth on top of my sutures, under the binder to prevent irritation. I used a sterile 4”x4” gauze opened lengthwise with 2 small pieces of medical paper tape.
I highly recommend this wrap for anyone with an ostomy. It keeps the pouch secure and flat against my belly and really helps me to feel less self-conscious about my ostomy.
The velcro makes it easy to adjust the tightness around your mid section. The front brace was just the right size for me - good coverage from just below my chest down to nearly my belly button. I like it and am wearing it almost everyday.
I bought it for my mother-in-law 83 years old. she had surgery and she needed for support and this is compression wrap is helping to reduce her swelling.
It's quality material. It fits perfect. It's comfortable. The width is great I have a short torso. It's very hard to find a band that fits. I'm 5' 0”and 135 lbs. I'm very satisfied with this band.
I recently went thru a surgery of an Umbilical hernia the abdominal binder is perfect although I can put it on myself I rather have someone else help me on adjusting so I can move better by having more support I loved it so much I ordered a second one I wash one and have other to use .I will be using them for awhile so I am considering ordering another abdominal binder...
The length of it was good, but it's way too soft and stretchy to hold anything up. Maybe if you just want a little support, but if you need a lot of support, then no.
I bought 4 abdominal wraps. I used one. I am 80 years old. The Velcro is so strong, I had to call for help to get it off. I live alone, but I could not get it off without help. I intend to return the other 3, as they are not useful to me. Jacquelin M Luty
After use the band itself she eats into pieces and it ions it and sometimes it gets stuck on you and you have to pull hard and it hurts especially if you have had stomach massive surgery I don't recommend this unless you want to buy one as long as it stays how it's suppose to be I'm not happy with this product
