O-Cedar ProMist® Microfiber Spray Mop

We recently tried out the O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop. It was shipped to our house. The box was pretty beat up and the sealing tape torn. The mop itself was scratched up at the handle, but that did not affect the performance. The mop is a bright red with a clear reservoir area. The length was very easy to use by both me and my husband, who is almost a foot taller than I am. The liquid reservoir area is easily removed by pressing on the larger button near the mop head. It comes out, and you fill it with water and two tablespoons of your chosen floor cleaner. (We chose Mr. Clean with Gain scent, which is why it looks green in our photo.) That was easy to pop in and pop out when done. Our only complaint with the mop at all comes from that button area. When you have it full of liquid and tip the mop upward, it leaks liquid around the button area. Now, you might wonder why we'd have the mop tipped upward. More on that later! The pad is really thick with nubby fabric that does a great job on the floors. The white and red mop fabric has raised areas that help to scrub off various dirt or sticky spots. It did such a nice job on the kitchen floor that my husband tried to raise it up and run it across some of the kitchen cabinet doors to see how that would work. It didn't! That's when the fluid from the reservoir leaked around the button - when he had it tipped up to reach the cupboards. There was no leaking when it was solely used to clean the floors. The mop did a really great job on two different types of tile in our place. We had just cleaned the bathroom with a regular sponge mop the day before, but went over it again with the O'Cedar ProMist mop. It picked up even more dust/dirt that our other mop had left behind. We pulled the cleaning pad off and tossed it in the washer with the towel load. We did not put it in the dryer, but just laid it out to dry flat. It came out beautifully, with no shrinkage or raveling. Overall, we were very happy with the O'Cedar ProMist Mop, and can honestly recommend it to people who hate mopping, but know they have to do it anyway.

This is the best mop I've ever used. The handle is designed with a very comfortable grip and it's wide enough so your hand rest securely with it. It's looped for a great grip. This makes it easy to maneuver the entire unit.The sprayer is right there at your fingertips The whole mop is substantial, not as flimsy as the swifter. This makes controlling the swivel head easier. The head doesn't tend to spin like the swifter either. This scrubber pad is wonderful. It really cleans and covers a large surface area. The lock/unlock feature for the refillable container works well. The container snaps in fully without fear of it's falling out. It has a spray that shoots out water onto the floor, meaning you can get the mop/floor as wet as you want. I added the designated amount of cleaner to mix with water which gives more control over the soapiness you want. I used pine sol. I love this product. It has enough weight for good balance control and pressure to clean well without being heavy at all.

The very first thing I noticed about this mop is the fact that it is exclusively tied to a certain floor cleaner. Every single mop of this type that I have owned forced me to buy refills from the mop maker. I always found that to be very annoying because the refills were usually so expensive that I would be just a well off buying a brand new mop. Also, being forced to purchase their refills limited my choice of scents to the few they offered. I love how I can use my own cleaner with this guy. Just remove the reusable cleaner bottle, add what ever I want and the mop is ready to go. The mop weighs practically nothing which makes it very easy on the back and arms. It is low profile which allows it to be used under the edges of furniture and around the cabinet kick outs.The pad is easy to remove and clean, and drys quickly.

This spray mop is so easy to use, it's almost fun. Just snap off the spray bottle with a push of a button, unscrew the nozzle, fill it with water and put some cleaner in the water(not more than 2 teaspoons). Then snap it back in and go. I just put a couple of squirts of my dish liquid in just to see how it would clean. I didn't even sweep the floor beforehand. Squirting is controlled by the lever on the handle. You can spray wider with a vigorous pull on the lever or narrower and closer with a light pull. It's so easy and the handle is nice and long. The cleaning pad is attached firmly with velcro. It has some gentle scrubbers on it for stuck on things but not enough to cause scratching- I don't think. But, I'd be careful on different surfaces, just to be safe. To wash it, just "rip" it off and throw it in the washer, or wash by hand, as you wish. It feels well made. I only just got it so, the durability factor can't totally be determined, yet. It is made of a thick but lightweight plastic. The head of the mop swivels in every direction so you can just spray and push, spray and push all over the floor without lifting the mop. Quick and easy cleanup and it grabbed most of the debris on the floor, too. This is a great idea- no buckets!

Does anyone remember the jingle "Ocedar makes your life easier"? When I started using this mop, it popped in to my head! This mop really does make life easier for a number of reasons. Firs and foremost, I am so happy that I will no longer have to fill up a bucket with soap and water then drag it to where I need to clear the floor. Now, I just fill the bottle with water and floor cleaner, attach the pad and, voila! I am ready to clean the floor. And, I don't have to fill the bottle each time either because the spay (mist) puts out just enough to get the floor clean in a large area. So far, I have washed the kitchen floor everyday this week and still have some mix left in the bottle! Also, the microfiber pad is awesome! It rinses clean without much effort. I guess that eventually I will have to put it in the washing machine but not so far. I am not sure if it is offered but I would like to purchase another bottle to have on hand so that I can have a solution ready for my wood floors as well instead of having to switch out solutions each time. Other than that, I give this product a hearty thumbs up!

This O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop was a nice surprise. I didn't expect it to be very heavy duty or hold up to a lot of cleaning, but it did! It only requires 2 tablespoons of cleaner for the water tank. The tank snaps on and comes off at the press of a button. The washable cloth mop that velcros on the bottom was very thick and easy to rinse out. It rotates back and forth and is easy to control it's direction. It has a nice handle with a pull trigger sprayer. My ONLY negative comment would be when you spray the fluid out, it mists pretty far so watch other furniture that you are cleaning around to make sure it doesn't get damaged by the water/cleaner. You can angle it to point more toward the floor or tilt it back to spray farther if you need it to. I really liked this also for the fact that it doesn't run on batteries or have to be plugged in/charged. I will use this quite a bit!

O-Cedar makes my life easier!!! I love these mops! It truly does make things so much more easier. To begin with you have a wide mouth refillable bottle to put water or any cleaning solution you may choose. I put two teaspoons of Mr. Clean and the rest water to clean all my ceramic tile. Works well on all types of floors...ceramic tile, wood, laminate and linoleum. The refillable water bottle has a one touch button that releases the bottle fast and it then securely locks back into place. The sprayer works great as it sprays a nice area in front of the pad. It comes with microfiber pad for great easy cleaning. It is machine washable and you can buy refills if needed. My floor was really dirty. Living in the desert I have a lot of dust! I mopped about half of my floor and then hand washed and rinsed the microfiber pad. Wow it was filthy! But I really liked that I could just rinse and ring out the dirt off the pad. It really cleaned my whole entire floors great! I really like the handle and that it has a 360 degree swivel head. So for me that works great getting in the corners of baseboards and just going around my chairs if I don't feel like moving them. Love it!! I would definitely recommend this O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop.

Firstly, I paid for this. How does one get items for free to review? I've only used it once, but I like it and it's easy to use. Our entire first floor is dark hardwood. The size of the mop head is really too small for this purpose so mopping take double the amount of time!

The design had promise, but realistically is not very effective in cleaning the floor. Like a string mop or sponge mop with which you can pick up dirt and rinse the mop to do so again, this mop has minimal benefit since is is not designed to mop up dirt and then be rinse to repeat the action. After the first few minutes it merely spreads the dirt around since it can hold only so much dirt unless you remove the pad and rinse it by hand. Seems pointless. A string mop or sponge mop that can be continuously rinsed is a better option.
