when these came, based on the color of the lid, I thought they had given me the wrong color. but then I saw that the color on the label did say oil rubbed bronze. this is not the same color as previous cans I have gotten. it is much more black than bronze. quite disappointing 😞
Ad says "OIL RUBBED BRONZE"...I got two 2-packs shipped. IT'S NOT OIL RUBBED BRONZE. I typically check out things in detail, but it's paint, and ad says oil rubbed bronze. If you zoom in on the picture of the actual can, above the pic on the can is says "METALLIC". Below the pic on the can it says "BRILLIANT METALLIC FINISH"....it's basically black metallic. I have used oil rubbed bronze in spray numerous times, it's always a brownish color, NOT METALLIC BLACK. I knew the cap was WAY DARK when I opened the box (so dark it looked black), so I saw no "Oil Rubbed Bronze" on the can ANYWHERE...just what I stated above, as you'll see on the can if you zoom in..."METALLIC" %26 "BRILLIANT METAL FINISH". I thought maybe I ordered the wrong thing, and it's on me...but no, clearly the ad says "Oil Rubbed Bronze", and it's not. I'm just keeping it, I'll prob use it on something. I was getting away from black for the foundation vents and rough iron outdoor furniture, but I'll prod find something to use it on at some point. SO DISSAPPOINTING. The actual cap on the can in the pic, and the color background, yeah, close to oil rubbed bronze, close enough anyway...but the cap is black metallic when you receive it....and the can itself says what it says in the pic, which doesn't say oil rubbed bronze on it anywhere. So the cap color and color sample background are even deceiving. It's BLACK METALLIC ALL DAY LONG...or as the can calls it "Brilliant Metal Finish"...THAT'S NOT THE SAME WORDS AS OIL RUBBED BRONZE.
I didn't like this spray paint very much at all. Very thin, very dull finish. I don't think much of the color either, kind of blah. Maybe on outside furniture, I used it to refinish my bathroom hardware. Not horrible but not great. I haven't found much difference between name brand spray paint and store brand.
Very easy to use and apply to anything you want to change the color on. I used it on and Outdoor Patio Set. My bride loved the color and finish.
does not have a decent coloring after spraying over black or any color as base. not even without a base color.
The finish wore off after one day when i used it to spray the metal ring on the bathtub drain. also, nowhere on the can does it say its Oil Rubbed Bronze, it just says metallic. while it is slightly bronze, it looks more like black with some sparkly flecks. it does t even match the rest of my oil rubbed bronze finishes.
sent black not bronze.
I love this stuff... I have used it on wood and metal and it comes out amazing and has held up VERY well, no smudging or fading of color.
I've used this spray paint to refurbish several Sheppard's Hooks and I've sprayed faded plastic flower pots. It's fantastic!!! I llove the color and it holds up very well. I would recommend this paint for any project you might have. I will definitely be buying more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this product to paint several items for a wedding. We wanted all the “metals” to match. This worked great in lettering, frames, candlesticks, and several other little items. It covers nicely, dries quickly, and goes on smoothly. Highly recommend
