This roasted chicken and rice flavor dry dog food has been a lifesaver for my Great Dane, who has a sensitive stomach and has struggled with many other brands. It’s the only food that consistently agrees with his digestion, and he’s been healthier and more energetic since we made the switch. I also really appreciate the price point—it’s affordable without compromising quality, which makes it a reliable and budget-friendly option for large breed owners like me.
We have been feeding our dogs Ol Roy for years and years! Many vets will suggest name brand and more expensive options, but our dogs, mostly Labs, Pits, Great Pyrenees, have lived long healthy lives eating this food twice a day. They have consistently lived well into their teens years! Definitely recommend any of the Ol Roy kibble options!
My big dogs in the back yard eat this after trying a few other brands. They really seem to like it. Its easy small enough for my aing boy to chew without trouble and it leave him with digestion issues. Their coats are shiny and healthy and its small enough for puppies.
Our 3 Australian Shepherds enjoy their “crunchiest” along with splitting a large can of Ol’Roy Canned Dog Food for dinner every night. We have a concierge Veterinarian who visits all of our four-legged critters every 3 months %26 their health marks are impeccable!
They have made Pellets smaller and have taken one of flavor pellets out of the mix . Something is different. My pets are not eating it as well Having to add more flavor to it. Been eating this ever since they were puppies . Why the change? If it's not broke no need to fix it Just saying !
Why did y'all change the dog food? It's little pellets now and my dogs are not happy with it so apparently the taste has changed also! I basically run my own rescue here, we live in the country and my husband and I take care of around 20 dogs on our property. I've always purchased the Ol Roy Complete Nutrition Chicken (or the ol Roy tbone and bacon) in the 46 lb bags because it's a great value and much more affordable when you're feeding so many. However, last month y'all debuted a new bag style and to my surprise, NEW DOG FOOD. It looks nothing like it did, it's much smaller and resembles bbq pellets! PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL RECIPE.
I used to get this with no problems. My dogs ate it everything was fine. The last 2 times I bought this it was filled with sawdust. I kid you not, I thought the first bag was maybe a mistake but then when I purchased it again and got to the bottom of the bag giant clumps of sawdust colored to look like food but it looks like the machine malfunctions while making the shapes. I broke a clump apart in my fingers and it was straight sawdust. I could never in my future justify feeding my dogs this ever again. I can only imagine how hungry eating sawdust left them out what it might do to their stomach.
At first I had no problem with this dog food until we get the bottom of the bag ... there were saw moldy dog food. The bag never got wet, and there's no other issue to cause moldy dog food unless it happened at the store or during transport. I'm over the lack of quality of food, of produce, of pet food, of everything at Walmart.
I have you one star because there was no option for zero. The dog food was not delivered with the rest of my order, although it said it was shopped and delivered. I paid a $15 tip to the driver and didn't receive all of the order. There are other options in this town that I can use for delivery of groceries and goods
This dog food is terrible. My 6 dogs won't touch it. It's these awful pale brown pellets. I can only imagine what it tastes like. Ugh! Buy the chicken and rice blend, it looks normal. Very unexpected to get such a terrible dog food after many, many orders of the chicken and rice. This is plain chicken, don't order it. Such a waste. Even the starving dogs that show up won't eat it. Stuck with 46 lbs of crap dogfood. Wasn't expecting anything grand but this stuff is just sad.
