dogs love this

kay February 20, 2026

Have 4 German Shepards and they love this dog food Ol' Roy New York Strip Flavor Cuts in Gravy. Usually when I feed them, I put a big spoon full in each dog bowl and when they are done eating the bowl is so clean it looks like I washed it, every morsel of dog food is gone in the bowl, they love this canned dog food. I try to give them a spoon full every time I feel them dry dog food, because this canned dog food is so good for them.

I feed my dogs the old canned dog food for the value is meat all standards. In my opinion now I make a lot of their dog food as well. They're 15 years old there's full-blooded springer spaniels and they need something more than just dry food. They have a hard time eating hard crunchy food so I make sure they get canned food, homemade food and soft old jewelry dry dog food.

Good moisture and flavor for dogs

LunaKai May 5, 2026

With multiple dogs, I pay close attention to foods that actually get them interested and excited at mealtime, and this definitely caught their attention quickly once the can was opened. The chunks were a decent size, the gravy helped keep the food from seeming dry, and the texture mixed easily whether served alone or alongside dry food. Some people use foods like this strictly as a topper, but for many dogs this can absolutely work as the main meal depending on their feeding routine and portion needs. One thing I appreciated is that the softer texture seemed easier for some dogs to eat compared to harder foods, especially dogs that prefer wet food or older dogs that may struggle more with crunchy textures. The smell immediately got the dogs interested, and the bowls were cleaned up quickly without much hesitation, which is always one of the biggest things I pay attention to. For the price, convenience, and portion size, this worked well as either a full meal or mixed feeding option depending on the dog's needs.

Good Stuff, According to my Dog

John April 28, 2026

My dog really likes this Ol' Roy dog food. We have fed him this canned food for years. He cleans his bowl every time. The price fluctuates a little but is still cheaper than the name brands with as good or even better quality. He stays healthy and is a very active senior dog.

this was purchased to give our dogs a "treat" ontop of their dry dog good for their dinner. i warm in microwave safe dish about 10 Seconds and each dog gets about a tablespoon mixed in their dry food. just enough. I place leftover in small covered plastic container.

My little rescue loves it.

HappyInTexas April 25, 2026

I have a very picky, senior Yorkie mix that came to me as a malnourished little stray. I tried multiple brands of dog food, including some of the expensive, grain-free ones. She refuses dry kibble of any kind, and balks at loaf or "pate" style wet foods. I tried different flavors and brands of "meaty pieces in gravy" and this is the one she consistently prefers and will readily eat. She has gained weight, her coat has improved, and she is thriving. When I open a can she does a little twirl, knowing she is getting something she likes. The food looks and smells appetizing, meaty, bite size cubes in a rich, brown gravy. It actually smells like beef tips in brown gravy that I cook for myself.

My dogs all love the taste

Anonymous April 14, 2026

I don't know how great the quality of this food is, but my dogs all love the taste. I started giving it to my Lilli when she was old and I couldn't get her to eat other foods. It worked for a while, which is appreciated, since every extra day she ate was a better day. Now I mix one of the other dog's liquid medicine in it and it is gone in no time.

Compare to the portioned tins of the exact item.

Dusty November 2, 2025

For the money this is a way better deal for the same food. The issue is the quality seems way lower to be honest. My Angel doesn't like the cans as much; however he inhales the tins. I do visually see a difference with the meat itself and cant help but think the single tins look better than the cans. These also seem to cause constipation more often than the singles, even though it seems tovhave a bit more gravy. Just a oddity to consider. If you HAVE TO save money buy these; if you rather have better quality of the same item, but the single proportions.

My dogs wont touch it. I gave the remaining cans to my neighbor and was told later that his dog took one bite and then spent the day licking his but to get the taste out.

Deserve apology replace missing cans

Rhonda September 7, 2025

Unexceptionable shipping. Loose two cases of dog food. Didn't get the whole 12 cans in each case ordered. Shipping dropped the two cases made a miss and through the cans in a extra large box that dented all the cans😡
