Old Trapper Naturally Smoked Original Old Fashioned Beef Jerky 10oz Resealable Bag

This is my favorite beef jerky, and I buy it weekly. This jerky is always fresher than the other brands and the flavor is much better than all of the others too. You will never want anything but Old Trapper after you have tried it, and it is always reasonably priced too.

We order this all the time but pricing has limited how often we do. Overall, we absolutely love the flavor, the texture and the toughness of the beef jerky. It has a very clean taste that does not overwhelm you, but also is not highly or overly salty.

My husband loves this jerky and Walmart's price is wayyyy better than the gas station's. Personally, I find it very flavorful without an overwhelming peppery taste and the soft pieces are perfect. However, the pieces with hard edges tear my mouth apart and always cause me to have chunks in my teeth, Either way, it's also extremely lean without a sinewy type texture when chewed. Overall, it'd be one I chose over several other brands.

This time pickup went well because Luis took care of my delivery to our car. About 2 weeks ago there was only 1 girl helping one customer after another, ignoring me through 8 other deliveries while it was obvious to all other customers I had been waiting 30minutes without an attendant even speaking to me! SOOOO RUDE!!

I BUY BEEF JERKY FOR MY SON. AT TIMES HE TAKES MEDICATION THAT DECREASES HIS APPETITE AND BEEF JERKY IS A HIGH PROTEIN SNACK HE ENJOYS. HE LIKES TO EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT FLAVORS SO OLD TRAPPER IS A GOOD OPTION SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY FLAVORS TO CHOOSE FROM.

Old Trapper is consistently decent jerky. If you have a couple extra dollars, it is worth buying over the Great Value offerings. Compared to GV, Old trapper is softer and more flavorful. Old Trapper also holds up better over time; like in repeated openings and resealings. Sure, there is added sugar, but that makes for tastier, longer-lasting jerky. If you don't want sugar, make it yourself with only salt and spices, or go for it, and take a bite off a bull's behind.

This tastes pretty good, but the pepper is a little overpowering. Honestly, my only real complaint is that this jerky was much tougher and stringier than others that I've tried including different flavors of the same brand. I'd still recommend it though.

When I purchased the first bag I also purchased a bag of the Great Value brand and found that though they both tasted great the cost (Double) of the Old Trapper brand did not do enough to over shadow the great taste and lower cost of the Great Value brand which I have bought 3 more of and will never buy Old Trapper again.

I did not order beef jerky. I ordered dried beef and I ended up with this and I do not want it or the price of it.

While I've always enjoyed this jerky, you are the only store that sells this sized bag for almost 15 dollars where anywhere else it is just under 10-11. I don't know if you still do price matching but yeah. Also to note, I would have recommended this bag but lately the portion sizes have changed in the last 2 years and I feel like I'm paying more for the air in the bag then whats inside. Use to be worth it's 10 dollar price now...not so much....still my favorite jerky though. No other jerky has it's thickness and chew and the recipe though I can taste a small change is still good. 4.5 out of 10 for price. 8 out of ten for the brand and taste.
