Great peppered jerky! If you think you're sensitive to pepper - you might stick with the original. But if you want that kick ground pepper delivers, this is for you. Good price, portioned generously, quality cuts of beef and I don't think you will be disappointed.
I have only eaten Jack Link's Sweet n Hot Beef Jerky for so many years because after trying several other brands/flavors throughout the years , I was not impressed... however Old Trapper Peppered Jerky is actually better. The jerky is way better quality , texture , and flavor.
This jerky delivers consistently great quality and is well worth the price in our house. The brand is dependable and doesn't pad the bag with tough or inedible pieces, which sets it apart from many others. The flavor is balanced and satisfying, and the spicy version is an excellent choice for anyone who likes a bit of a kick.
I BUY BEEF JERKY FOR MY SON. AT TIMES HE TAKES MEDICATION THAT DECREASES HIS APPETITE AND BEEF JERKY IS A HIGH PROTEIN SNACK HE ENJOYS. HE LIKES TO EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT FLAVORS SO OLD TRAPPER IS A GOOD OPTION SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY FLAVORS TO CHOOSE FROM.
I bought this as a high protein snack, which was my first mistake because apparently everyone in my house had the exact same idea. 😂 The peppered flavor is excellent with just the right amount of seasoning and a little kick without being overwhelming. The meat is flavorful, satisfying, and strikes a nice balance between tender and chewy. It's perfect for road trips, fishing trips, long appointment days, or those afternoons when you're hungry but don't want to eat an entire meal. The resealable bag is nice, although it assumes there's going to be jerky left to reseal. The quality was great, the pieces were a good size, and it felt like a more premium jerky than many others I've tried. Bonus: I bought the 10 oz bag thinking it would last a while. Apparently my family viewed that as a challenge. 🤣🥩💛🚗
Easily one of the best jerky brands. Consistently good flavour, texture, and unlike Jack Links, you don't get a bunch of randomly super squishy pieces - it's real beef, properly dried and prepped.
Love, beef jerky, especially pepper, beef jerky. I have searched high and low for good beef jerky and found this product has great taste great evolved pepper love it.
Tastes pretty good; lasts longer than many jerky products, but nothing like the true, traditional, good old beef jerky I've had in the past. It just can't be had. The price is still insane, upwards of $30 per pound for salted strips of “cheap” cuts of cow. Cattlemen caught on that “people like it - so why not see just how high we can price it”
I LOVE this product! It's tender, delicious, well seasoned! I'm addicted! What happened? It's down to 10 oz now. If I'm not mistaken...I thought they wete formerly on 14 oz packs? Hmmmmmmm 🤑 It's the only brand I'll buy!
As much as I love the texture and flavor, I didn't realize it had Sodium Nitrites in it :( needless to say, I won't be consuming this product anymore. Y'all can do better. Not ALL of Walmart's products HAVE to have carcinogens in them, but somehow most of them manage to have exactly that.
