Good product, rich color, goes on thick, I would recommend it
yes, nice simple ordering. In fact getting ready to order again.
This did a beautiful job on my deck! Don't waste your money on the high dollar stuff!
Coverage the best. Great price compared to less effective products.
GREAT PRODUCT!! We built an indoor riding arena last year and applied two coats of solid color Maximum. The results were outstanding... perfect coverage and cures to a hard, durable finish, and we LOVE the color. We went with Maximum because it's guaranteed for 25 years with two coats and because we had such great results with Olympic toner stain on our barn. My painter had recommended Sherwin Williams, which was more expensive and had no coverage guarantee (why should I trust their paint to last if THEY don't???), but we insisted on Olympic, and we made a believer out of our painter. And OBTW, we've used Olympic Deck Cleaner for years, and it's the only thing that really works on mold and mildew out of all the products I've tried...great prep for any outside staining or painting job. We're sold on Olympic products and wouldn't try anything else at this point.
Paint is just what I expected and it got the job done
Color is bright red!!!
I've used only Olympic semi transparent stain on my 27 year old deck and got relatively good results. 3 years ago I belt sanded and power washed the deck before resealing with 8-year Maximum. It was completely dry and appeared to take the stain like previous applications. After only one year, the stain left the surface and the deck turned bear and 30% gray. The wood is no longer water resistant and looks horrible. I don't know where to go from here but I did not want to start over this soon.
Just applied to a very large 1200 sq ft deck at the end of last summer. We followed the directions meticulously. We allowed the news deck to cure for a year. We cleaned the wood. Allowed it to dry. Waited for the perfect weather conditions to apply. Applied two coats. Summer hasn't even started yet and the stain is so peeled and scuffed they the deck is embarrassing. the thought of trying to remove and replace all of this is so incredibly disappointing and anxiety producing. The warranty explicitly excludes labor associated with the removal application, which is is absurd. This Olympic stain ruined our brand new deck :(
We purchased Olympic Maximum Exterior Solid Color Stain And Sealant to paint our new deck and railings. The stain was applied in multiple coats to new green treat wood that had been allowed to dry for 1 year and then sanded prior to application. In less than 3 years, the finish has faded and has a chalky appearance, it is peeling, and it has black mildew stains. In areas where it is exposed to the sun, it is so faded that the brown now looks pink. I recently applied some of the stain to the faded areas and the color difference is astounding as to how much it has faded. This item has a 10 year warranty and is hasn't even held up for 3 years without needing repainting.
