Given the price, I wasn't expecting a good outcome of coverage on my deck. However, I was impressed with the cedar color matching the already existing color (cedar) of my deck. My deck was neglected for many years, but this product brought it back to life. I do recommend applying two coats, it will still show the natural wood grain, which was my personal objective.
Goes on easy, dries fast and covers nicely. By far the best product for my annual deck refresh I have used over the years and is very cheaply priced. We have had several hard rains since I rolled it on and it shows no wear. As far as preparation I just pre-washed the deck with the hose sprayer to clean off loose materials. It took me about 30 minutes to do my 12 X 16 deck floor. Soap and water clean-up on this product.
Used to protect my 2yr old cedar fence, that had originally been sealed with a more expensive brand, when installed. The fence was beginning to fade, so I decided to try this brand to refresh it at about half the price. It went on easy, sprayed with a normal cheap electric paint gun, then used a fresh clean roller to even the coat and smooth out any runs or heavy spray. I did add some red barn paint as tint, to give a little bit of color. Dried quick no issues.
Many other stains are very expensive. Since I'm on a fixed income it was reasonable enough for my project. I really have no idea how long it will last.
Goes on easy, but if you like a good solid coat it is a must to coat it at least 2 or 3 times. This is a good quality and affordable Olympic redwood stain.
i love this. the color and coverage is beautiful. i used it on my fence that i had put up 5 years ago and never stained until now. this does great. i bought stain over double the price for the outside of my fence, and this cheaper one igot for the inside of my fence is WAY better. and easier on the wallet.
Living on a limited income, I had to find way to cut costs on stain for our deck and fence. We wanted a cedar finish, without paying the cedar price. The color has turned out beautifully and has covered exceptionally well. I was impressed how well this has held up with our children running around, the chemicals from our pool and the storms. I would highly recommend using this stain as a cost-effective way to spruce up your space!
this is good stain ,but the color on the bucket sure did not look like the stain when put on wood, it was red like red paint, maybe wrong color on bucket ,something was not right, will use on barn it is that red, will look great.i do not have phone to take picture or I would.
We couldn't use this for our deck. I started with staining the deck railing and let it dry. After dried, it was still bright orange. This was after only one coat. Thankfully I didn't use it on our deck floor boards. We ordered a traditional oil-based stain for much better results than the water-based stain.
It is bright pumpkin Halloween orange! Does not look anything like the color on the can. Does not act like a stain like in the video, this is more of a bright orange paint. I would have rated it zero stars if I could. Now I have a whole can that I need to dispose of, wasted my money, and time I'll be repainting my fence gate when I wanted a stained wood look. I should have taken that money and just bought pretreated cedar.
