TV mode works and the Switch charges fine. If you're just using your Switch in portable mode pretty much any Type-C charger will be fine. But for TV mode you will need something like this that lists 15V / 2.6A

Works well for what I needed, wanted to start playing on the TV as well. Glad that options like this are available, the Nintendo brand was more expensive so this was great for the price.

for anyone needing a new power cord for their switch I can't say i recommend this. i tried this one and ordered a different one neither of them worked. apparently you have to have the Nintendo brand power cord for it to power your dock so you can play on your tv.

Charger works great on the Nintendo and on the dock. I seen past reviews saying theirs didn't work with the dock connected to the TV, and some newer ones saying theirs did work with the dock on the TV, and I can confirm that it DOES work with the dock! Very happy it does, as it's what I was needing.

It worked perfectly and does exactly what the original does.

Worked great for about a month and then gave out. Now I just have blinking green light of death on the switch dock. Not worth the money or hassle.

wouldn't charge my switch. the wattage was too low
