onn. HDMI DVD Player with Remote Control and HDMI Cable

Starlink failed for a few days so I broke out some old DVDs and no longer having a DVD player I needed something. This ONN player was inexpensive and easily connected go a hdmi port. It is working well and the picture and controls are satisfactory. I've been watching old movies I have not seen in over twenty years.

If I could give a negative stars I would. I order this as express delivery to my home for Father's Day. I get a message saying the package was delivered only to look at the photo and see someone else's garage. I immediately contacted support for a refund and they said they couldn't do it, and to wait for redelivery. Never happened. Called again and they said they couldn't find my account because my account was deactivated. But if my account is deactivated, how could I have ordered online? They told me to wait for an email about my account status. Never got that email. Now I'm out of $60 for a package that THEY delivered to the WRONG home

Great investment for a terrific dvd player that is just perfect for me ! Awesome price and great quality of dvd player, very good player, easy to handle and very easy to hook up and so little space it needs to be played! Love it and totally recommend this product!! 👍🏻😃😊✔️

Quick and easy setup. Everything you need to start using immediately is provided (other than the CD/DVD you wish to play). Can use with old or new tv's. Glad I saw this before I purchased one almost double the price. Good for listening to CD audiobooks from public library while you physically do other activities.

this was a small dvd player very easy to setup and get hooked to the tv then was ready to go we have a nice little remote to it and works without any issues gives a nice picture to the tv and operates effortlessly loads quickly and connects without any issue to the tv

I purchased this replacement DVD player, not because I had issues with one I bought several years ago (it still works fine, but because I lost the remote for it when moving 2 years ago. I purchased an ONN universal remote shortly after, but was unable to get it to work on the older ONN DVD player. So, I purchased this one for exactly the same price I paid some 10 years ago, just to get a working remote! I know have two identical players that work fine, and use the same remote. The HDMI feature is most appreciated, as it allows me to plug it into a video switching system or directly into a computer. My previous DVD players used either just RCA phono plugs and/or S Video jacks. As the S Video system has gone the way of the Dodo, RCA and HDMI are more than adequate. All in all, for the price, this unit is a fine value, with good controls and excellent video and audio. Ease of hookup adds to the appeal. Being a recovering audiophile from the 1970's, I truly appreciate these features, and the fact that I can still incorporate this unit into a vintage component audio system, as well as a contemporary video distribution complex.

This unfortunately stopped working 6 weeks after we bought it, almost exactly 2 weeks after the return window closed. We've had issues with most of onn's “newer” products these past few years. But our daughter really loves watching dvds so we went with this one as it had a remote. I even thought I bought the protection plan, but I did not. If you're going to risk it on this one, buy the protection plan. The onn products just aren't as good as they used to be.

I've been using Onn DVD players for years and always liked them, in spite of the fact that they only last 12-18 months of daily use. This one, however, is rather complicated to use. The small eject button is directly beside the one for voice instructions, which is ear-piercingly loud with a volume that can't be adjusted. I have to use a flashlight to make sure I'm hitting the right button. The factory setting also includes automatic subtitles, which vary from French to Spanish depending on the DVD I'm using. Turning them off is easy enough, but I learned that through trial and error because there are no instructions for it. I have to do this for every DVD I play. About the only thing I do like is that there are now volume controls on the remote. The installation instructions were clear, but the operating instructions were practically nonexistent.

It came in the Onn box, opened it up dvd player inside. Also Ziploc sandwich size bag held the remote, hdmi ac plug in and the hdmi cord. Plugged it in, pressed power button and the disc tray kept opening and closing. A malfunctioning product, not usable. Returning it.

This stopped working after only a few months. It was well taken care of, and used for movies once or twice a week. Walmart would not refund or replace it since it was past 90 days, which is a ridiculously short warranty for electronics. I absolutely do NOT recommend buying this-- spend a bit more for something that lasts. Very unhappy with both the product and customer service for this purchase.
