Honestly this cable is better than the occulus brand cable…plus cheaper! I bought the actual quest brand one and it broke within a week so decided to try this one and it has held up being tripped over and daughter getting a bit crazy with her gaming
So far so good. Actually works with the quest 2. Alot of the 3rd party cables tend to not work, or not work well, pretty much forcing you to buy the $80 "official" cable. Have had no connection issues and repetedly testing the link speed with the quest app it been rock solid. It dont really keep the headset fully charged, it will run down after several hours, but still gives you significantly longer life then running it wireless just on battery. From what ive seen though, this is less the fault of the cable and more to do with the limitations of how many amps your usb port on your mobo is capable of, as well as how hard youre pushing the headset. You run into the same "issue" even with the official cable but i feel its worth noting. Save the extra $30 and giving facebook more money and just grab this. I mainly use my headset for sim racing in my cockpit, so the legnth is more then long enough.
works great with the meta quest
This cord is long enough my grandson can easily move around while playing his Oculus. It does not seem to get tangled.
fits my xbox wired controller perfectly
There is nothing “optical” about this cable. It works, and it does what it says it does, but USB-C is a copper (electrical) standard. Have we really fallen that far as a civilization that a major retailer like Walmart can just slap “High-Speed Optical Link Cable” on a product that in no way utilizes fiber optics, and nobody even notices? The feature list on the box even includes “Extra-Light Fiber Optic Cable” which is a lie. Meta Quest doesn't use fiber optics and neither does this cable. Someone help me I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
The cable was good when Walmart finally shipped me the right one. The first shipment was a customer return where the box was opened, and the cable was replaced with used garbage quality usb cable that did not match the package. You would think that someone who processed the return would have actually looked at the cable?? The jumping through hoops for a replacement and shipment took much longer than I wanted, considering that this was supposed to be same day. All said and done, I had the correct cable after 4 days, which works as expected.
cable is 3x price of others but it seems to cause frequent disconnects to my Quest 3
not working consistently. lots of random disconnects. I noticed the box was previous openes and that this was probably a return that was resold. It may be better actually new. I too will ne returning. I feel sorry for the next sap who gets this particular cable.
Doesn't do what it says it does waste of money to
