My kids and I record content (video and audio) often, but I'd never even thought about or considered an external microphone. This thing is pretty great. The quality of sound is great. I love that it can be mounted to a tripod or set up on a table (horizontal or vertical). We mainly use this on MacOS and I didn't have any issues getting it set up and going. I'd recommend!

I have zero experience using an external microphone but I still found this onn microphone to be very easy to set up and use. The instructions that come with it are simple and easy to follow. I like that I can adjust the volume with the knob on the microphone. I love that I can record in two different modes with just the push of a button on the microphone. I also didn't realize how bad the microphone on my laptop was till using this microphone it is seriously a million times better in every single way, the clarity and volume, and over all sound are just way better. I like that I can change the stand on it and also plug headphones directly into the microphone itself. The microphone does have a little weight to it making it feel quality. I also included pictures of it next to a regular twelve ounce bottle of water for size reference. This microphone makes such a huge difference that I really wish I would have used it sooner.

I just started singing and recording songs, and really like working with this true "plug and play" USB microphone. It's got a nice stable base and a compact size with a very simple setup process. Very versatile with plugins for headphones and a 1/4" hole so you can mount to a mic stand, if you wish. , and then also includes a 1/4" threaded hole for mounting to a stand. Sound quality is comparable to other medium quality mics but with a more much attractive price. I would highly recommend for amateur recording projects!

My 14 year old loves singing and desperately wanted to record herself to post on social media for her family to watch and this microphone has made it possible! Her recordings sound perfect each time! It is so clear that I am amazed she did this in her own room! She was so happy that it was easy to use right out the box and only had to plug it into her laptop. The mic has easy volume and mute controls so she doesn't have to mess with the laptop if she doesn't want to. She also adjusts the height of the microphone as needed! It just sits right on her desk with not in use and is not bulky or anything! Highly recommended!

I haven't had a chance to use my microphone yet, I did plug it into my windows laptop running with the 11 program running. It was not a plug and play for me. I manually installed mine through the control panel. I still have to figure out the settings but it's up and running so for start ups it's working as expected. I do like the look and the not to heavy, not to light feel of it. I am excited to make my very first podcast episode.

This microphone is very good for the price. I had problems at first because I connected the microphone to a USB hub port. The troubleshooting instructions state that the microphone should be connected directly to the computer. I have an iMac, operating system Sonoma 14.6.1. I used my iPhone charging cord to connect the microphone directly to the computer. This made the microphone work like a champ. This microphone is a very good deal, and it worked very well for narration of a PowerPoint presentation.

My daughter's and I do personal podcasts for the family and this microphone is a game changer. We've had some issues with incoherency using the computer speakers and this has completely changed that and it really picks up all of us well. It's easy to use as well!

This item has become my fifteen year old daughters new favorite thing! She's been teaching herself to play keyboard and this goes perfectly with her setup so she can record herself and learn to be better! She's also practicing making her own podcasts for when she's old enough to start doing that! So many different things she can do with it!!!

This has some heft and weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. Clear recording sounds with two modes - omnidirectional (all around) and cardioid which records more toward the front. I kept mixing them up though of which was which and the button on the back only shows a symbol of the recording type and not the words. There is a mute button on the front along with recording volume control, although I'm unsure when I would need to adjust my recording volume, I guess if you don't want to move the mic and it's picking up too much sound you can turn it down a notch. Overall nice looking mic and feels sturdy, records clearly. No cons really.

Received this item and couldn’t wait to hook it up and try it out. Has a great feel to it and is a very attractive mic. The stand is adjustable which is a must. It is compatible with windows, mac and chromebook. USB hook up and a headphone jack make this item useful for everyone in one way or another. Turning the volume up or down on the mic is a breeze and it has a handy dandy power indicator light. My son has it connected to his computer for gaming and he really likes it. His friends online say they hear him loud and clear without any distortion. A good product from the onn company.
