Great toothbrush! Bought the "deep sweep" model and my teeth feel very clean. Not harsh or abrasive on gums at all. Saw this model in the grocery store HBA for around $60, but got it at Walmart for $43 marked down.
Love the Deep Clean - brushing makes my mouth feel like I just was in the dentist chair! I had to learn to keep my month closed to keep from the water, etc. going all over the place. However, the feeling of very clean teeth afterwards is great!!
This Toothbrush is very powerful! It does the job. Easy to use. Money well spent. I ended up having about $10.00 in it after rebates. But it is worth the price that Walmart sells it for!
I bought one for myself, tried it, loved it and then bought one for hubby. Just had a dentist appointment and my gums and teeth have improved.
I Really Wish I'd bought one of these YEARS AGO it's like night & Day BETTER than the battery 'spin brush' I threw out!!! It's smooth powerful & quiet and does A fantastic job!!! I just CAN'T imagine A much more expensive powered toothbrush being any better !!!
This one is quite strong, not for the ladies who may be used to the less powerful electric tooth brushes as this one can actually numb up your mouth and that's no exaggeration on my part. The numbness was surprising but very temporary. All in all, I would recommend this one for the guys who tend to like a stronger version ......Oral B deep sweep gets between the teeth and does a bang up job but it is very strong so take it for what it is, a very strong electric tooth brush with power to spare. NOTE: This was bought with my wife in mind but she didn't like it so I kept it and bought her another one which was less powerful and more in tune with what she was used to.
Seems to be more thorough than previous models with round schaped brushes. Unfortunately, this model does not have different modes (e.g. sensitivity etc.). Thus, if your mouth is somewhat open it splashes water driplets several inches out of your mouth.
I have had this toothbrush for about one week as of this review and have had no issues. It has a great price point and seems to function as intended. The only drawback is that it comes with 1 brush head. I think 2 at minimum should be included. They recommend the brush be changed once every three months. The brush heads, like razors nowadays are where the expense arises. They are about $25 for 3 replacement heads which is on par with all the others. I also got the rebate so the final cost to me was around $25 for this toothbrush. So far so good!
Although I have only used the toothbrush for a couple of weeks I am impressed with it. It is certainly superior to the Sonicare toothbrush that it replaced. The Sonicare had a vibrating action and fairly soft bristles which gave up in just a couple of months. The Oral-B 1000 has a much more solid feel and uses an oscillating action which is more vigorous and just feels as if it scrubs better. The Sonicare feels more gentle if you have a particularly sensitive mouth, but I think the Oral-B definitely cleans better.
If you don't want to spend over $100 on an electric toothbrush, this is a great option. It works very well and holds a good charge. I really like the sensor that tells you if you are brushing too hard and stops until you correct it. The only thing I didn't like was that it came with a normal brush style head in the package and not the round head. But I was able to buy a cheap set for a small price and still ended up spending less overall than most electric toothbrushes.
