Got my first box of these after struggling to use the plastic thingies that are meant to help you do regular floss with braces. I am now two years into using these and prefer them even if they're a little bit pricier.
I've used super floss for years and it keeps my bridge clean. It has a stiff end to thread under your bridge and it's easier than dental needles and regular floss. I also use it for my teeth that have a slightly wider gap (no need to thread) because this floss is slightly thicker than regular floss. If you have bridgework, give it a try.
Since I have all-on-4 implants, I needed to learn how to clean between them, as the zirconium dentures cannot be removed. I found that using cleaning strips is really helpful for getting anything out from around the implants. The fun part was figuring out how to use them. I sat in front of a magnifying mirror and threaded the hard part of the floss under the denture material and onto my gums, then pulled it through. I slid it from one side of one implant to the other side of the adjacent implant and pulled it through again. After a few attempts, during which I accidentally drooled a bit, I practiced until I got the hang of it. Now, it has become much easier, and all it takes is a bit of time and the desire to learn how to do it properly—without drooling too much! LOL.
Getting a 3 tooth bridge and keeping it clean scared me. This precut floss has a long, rigid section to start the floss between or above to clean then pull through. My favorites part is the fluffy middle section that cleans and stimulates my gums. No shredding or breaking just fast and clean.
I've been using Oral-B Super Floss for years, and it’s honestly the best for cleaning under bridges. The firm end makes it super easy to thread through and get under for a deep clean, and the floss itself works great for regular flossing between teeth too. The only small downside is that if you don’t pull the first strand out the right way, the rest can be a little tricky to get out. But honestly, that’s such a minor issue, it’s never stopped me from buying it! Definitely a must-have if you need to clean under dental work.
i just purchased these but have used them and i must say with my braces they are fantastic but still hard to manage if you are new to braces.
I would reslly like the newer version as the rattail is stronger and their is more of the fluffy floss. I got once on another site but can not find anywhere. This is good for nos as this is what my implant dentist recommended.
The Oral B precut floss is a reliable choice for use with your dental appliances. The stiffened end is hard enough for me to work around and beneath the teeth that I use it for on a daily basis. I use the spongy part and it is more than adequate. I do not use the soft floss part because I find that part too thick to easily slide between my teeth. I use a different waxed floss for regular flossing. What I do not like is the packaging. The floss is packaged in a plastic bag and wrapped around a cardboard. It is folded twice to fit in the blue box. It is very difficult to pull a floss string out of the package. I had to remove the plastic bag from the box and straighten out the cardboard so that I can easily pull out a single string. Better packaging is needed.
I really need to use these for some dental work I have had done but I found the end was too soft to thread as needed on the implant and also the packaging is difficult. would be better if it came in a spool for dispensing.
These used to be great but this is the second box I had to throw away because the hard part that is supposed to go in between the teeth falls apart and doesn’t go through.
