Great roaster! Easy to use and the turkey came out great!
This roaster oven was sent to me as a complimentary item to use and provide feedback. I must say I think it is awesome. I prepared three meals with the Oster roaster oven. I roasted a turkey and chicken and I steamed crab legs. It was the juiciest turkey and chicken I have ever had and the crab legs were awesome. This oven was very convenient to use and I love the fact that it did not heat up my kitchen like my conventional oven does. Cleanup is simple as the oven fits in my dishwasher no problem. You will need a decent area of counter space due to the size of the roaster oven. I plan on purchasing a couple to give as Christmas gifts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I love that I can remove the enter to make clean up easy. This is my second one so far and I love it
I have one already, and needed another for a large party. Love it!!!
Ive had the best experience with these roasters.
This roaster has been used several times since we have received it. We found the roaster to be a bit too large for our small family of three but was very easy to clean. I think the size can be a disadvantage to people with limited kitchen storage. We are lucky to have a large kitchen so storage is not a big concern. I would recommend spending the extra to get the serving platter to make this a hot server. Disclaimer: We received this roaster to test out and review.
I got this roaster about a month ago and have been very impressed with it so far. I have made a turkey, prime rib, chili, tomato sauce, and used it as a warmer for a large pasta dish for a family get together. Everything has came out great so far. The controls couldn't be easier to use. The black color looks sleek when up on the counter. The only thing I would add are a timer and digital temperature controls because they are far more precise than a dial. The unit does get very hot on the outside when it is on so be sure to keep out of reach of children. I have always wanted one of these and am so happy to have one. Its like having a separate oven to prepare your main dish in.
I just got this roaster for Christmas! I really want to love it, but I've only used it one time for New Years Eve pork and sauerkraut, and half way through cooking I realized there was a white coating all around the inner pan where the food was cooking. I only set it at 250 degrees so I don't know if it was because there was sauerkraut in it and the juices did that or what. Maybe I just got a bad one, I don't know. I do love the size and how it cooked everything, I just hate the way my pan looks now. The white coating wont wash off. I tried vinegar, baking soda etc......but no luck! Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do you get that white coating off? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Within seconds of plugging this in for the first time, smoke came pouring out of the bottom part... lots of smoke. I unplugged it and it is still pouring out. Called Oster, and they don't have any employees responding due to the Covid virus. I approached Walmart and their response was immediate!
This roaster was shipped with the front of the box demolished, with a piece of cardboard taped to it to cover the damage. It is not giftable nor could you use the box to store it in. Via chat, I was sent a return label for a refund, but after telling me I could ship it from the US Post Office, the label is only good for FedEx locations, which is about 40 miles away--just like returning it to a Walmart store. I would not take your chances on this one, unless you don't need the box and you don't care if the roaster is damaged. I'll shop elsewhere.....
