I replaced a 40 year old Oster blender
I replaced a 40 year old Oster blender/food processor whose motor died with the Oster Classic 6 Cups 8 Speed Plastic Blender. The new Classic has twice power and all the old attachments fit. The only question is will it last as long as its predecessor?

Product Reliability
I recently replaced my 18 year old Oster blender and was so happy to find one with the same sturdy construction, glass pitcher and easy to clean parts. I am able to make my morning smoothie with a single "Smoothie" button and find this blender is much quieter than the older model. Bonus is the old chopper attachment fits the new model.

Not a durable and safe product
Bought this 5 years ago and tried to use it last night. The jar base broke after applying slight twist. Totally useless and dangerous as this part keeps the blade in place. It could easily dislodge and brake the jar and injure anyone near the blender.
