when my old blender went on the fritz i had to have a new one as i was in the middle of canning hot peppers. i wanted one with metal in it instead of plastic. this one did not say but it would chop ice so i thought it might be the one for me. sure enough when it came in the blender was just exactually it has a big enough motor to chop what i wanted.. my mother had an Oster when i was growing up and it is still in service today , 60 years later
I bought this blender to replace my Oster 7 Speed Blender that died. The price had doubled so I didn't want to spend that much. This blender is lighter weight, a lot cheaper but has most of the same features. I used the jar and blade from my old blender and saved the parts from this one for when they wear out. This blender actually works better and I am happy I bought it. I used to have to use a spatula with my old blender to get the liquid to pull down at first but this one does it on it's own. I am so happy with this blender. I use it daily and it's quieter than my last blender too which was surprising. I never knew blenders had different noise levels. The lid doesn't spin out of place on this blender either. I wish I had bought this blender years ago.
I broke my old-school blender of many years and needed a replacement. My primary use is making smoothies and ice drinks. I consulted Consumer Reports Ratings of blenders and this One-Touch Oster blender rated excellent for smoothies. And excellent is what I give it! It has a programmed "Smoothie" button that automatically cycles on/off to mix the smoothie and then a final blend. It works great for the ingredients I put in which includes soy milk, nut butter, oatmeal, flax seed, and frozen/fresh fruit. I been using it for 2 weeks daily prior to writing this review and it hasn't disappointed! Nice price and quick Walmart free delivery!
If you are looking for an alternative to Indian mixer grinder this is a good choice. It makes idli batter but it has to be little watery. The pre programs are great but every time you want to change from one setting to other you have to switch off and on again.thta is little annoying. But overall great blender for price
I used this blender once %26 didn’t like it. It’s too heavy. I wish I could replace it with some other brand blender. But it’s over 30 days. I even bought the protection plan for 2years. Can you help me to replace it with some other blender.
I'm finally convinced that all Internet reviews must be fake. This thing is terrible it doesn't rotate the food at all!! You fill it up and everything just stays in the bottom so you have to keep opening it and stirring it yourself how in the world do people love this thing? I put canned stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce in it and the tomatoes just spun on the bottom and wouldn't blend. I had to keep pushing the tomatoes to the bottom to blend them! I mean tomato sauce seriously? This thing sucks. Dont believe the fake reviews...
Horrible blender. We only got to use this twice and it literally started smoking with a little frozen fruit, spinach and apple juice. Nothing crazy…no ice. We make smoothies often…looks like we’re going to go back to ninja. Our last ninja lasted 10 years or so.
I mean, it turns on. Has a smoothie setting but it won't blend frozen fruit or ice. It smells like the motor is burning no matter what setting it's on. There is no seal on the lid, so even when holding it in place, whatever is being mixed up will come up through the lid handle.
I needed a new blender so dived into massive research. I looked at multiple brands before realizing that I wanted a glass jar and not plastic, like so many high end blenders have these days. After looking at every glass jar I could find, I decided to purchase this one, the Oster One Touch 6 Cup Blender With Pre-Programmed Settings and Glass Blender Jar. First off, I need to say that I am super disappointed. The main issue I have with this blender is how incredibly thin and lightweight the parts are. The lid is made of very thin, brittle plastic, and feels so cheaply made. The blade assembly is the same way and it feels so low end and the feeling of ultra thin metal and brittle plastic is horrible. My daughter even commented that it is like a 'play blender' and she is completely right. It feels like a toy. Very low end materials and I will absolutely be returning this. I am coming from a Farberware blender and that thing was a tank! Quality parts, thick plastic, thick glass... not at all like this Oster. We did use it once, and it is not even an okay blender. It is very loud, but it did grind up everything well, however it smelled horrible when we used it. Like grease and oil and burny like we were going to blow the motor. To be clear, we just put in milk, protein powder, a fresh banana and some peanut butter. No ice, nothing frozen, nothing at all that would make it work to the point of smelling like burning grease. It was awful. In any case, I hope this review helps you save yourself the time and money that it cost me to purchase a bad product and return it. What a disappointing item!
Was not able to used this blender was in not working condition, no replacement was made or refund was offered!
