Oster Shedmonster De-Shedding Tool for Cats

I have had pets my whole life, so Ivery seen a lot of brushes of all kinds. Some worked okay, others not at all. This is one of the best. It doesn't just pull the loose fur off, it gently goes deep, pulls loose fur as well as loosening tangles and getting out anything that could be stuck in or matted. It works best for cats or small dogs, and if you over-brush you could cause bald spots. Also, not good for pets with thin skin or hair. I dont know if it comes in a larger size but you'd need one for a bigger dog. It digs down through the fur and before you know it you have a pile of fur that won't end up on the furniture or clothes. And the cats like it, which is an improvement.

Sometimes the cheaper version of a product is cheaper for a reason. I bought this because I didn't want to pay so much for this kind of tool and because the reviews were good. Yes, I go by TuckerTheDog, but I have 5 cats, so I was able to give the ShedMonster a real workout. The tool feels substantial and the blades are nice and sharp. It is angled at the point where it touches the cat's skin so it won't cut anything but fur. Result...it works. Cats like it. Ended up with enough cat fur to knit a sweater.

This deshedder is the best one I have purchased.I bought 4 previous different kinds that are junk.This ShedMonster deshedder is better than all of the other 4 combined.I highly recommend this item.

I love this tool. My cat has long silky hair and it trimmed her down nice. At first she was scared but then she liked it. It didn't pull her hair just combed and thinned her coat. I'm very happy with this product.

I have a FURminator for the dogs and use it for the cat as well. This brush leaves no sores like the FURminator, and it is way smooth through their fur; both dogs and cats!

Excellent tool for the money and for the hairy and not so hairy cat. I strongly recommend it. Only in one sweep I reduced the hair on my clothes and in my house with 75%.

This definitely got the undercoat of my short (thick hair, chunky butt) cat. He's white tabby cap %26 saddle markings and his deep undercoat is orange tinted. All other brushes have just gotten the top hairs but this one was pulling orange hair so it was definitely getting his undercoat. He enjoyed getting brushed, it doesn't pull. The hair does fly away (if it doesn't get snagged in the brush) so I recommend doing this outside.

Exactly what I needed for my shedding cat and dog, but as I kept combing (the hair still coming out) I was actually making them go bald in some places. Definitely use every couple of days to avoid balding.

For the price it really works well. When I brush my long haired cat with the deshedding tool, I get a handful of hair. I would recommend this product.

I had to return this bcuz it didn't work. I have 2 cats, one has short hair & 1 has med to long. So this tool didn't work on both of them. I returned it & finally broke down & got the FURminator & the FURminator did the job like a professional. I was originally going to go with the FURminator but bcuz of the price I decided to try an alternative. I have learned my lesson & will not substitute again for the real deal. I really wished this worked but sad to say it didn't for me. It seems I find myself returning a lot of As seen on TV merchandise lately, what's up with that!!?
