OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPad 7th, 8th & 9th Gen (10.2" Display - 2019, 2020 & 2021 Version) - Black, Rugged, Durable, Multi-Layer Protection

This is a really nice iPad case. It stays true to the Otter Box brand. It is so durable. It is made to withstand drops without worrying about your device breaking. If you are like me, you are prone to drop your iPad on more than one occasion. Since having this case I have already dropped my iPad twice, once outside on the sidewalk. I'm glad I had this case to protect it because it didn't break at all. The case is two different pieces that snap together, making sure that your device will be extra protected. There are also a couple of other functions that case has to offer. The side that you place the iPad into has raised edges so you could even use that one side by itself. There is also a charger protector that is easy to open and close. On the other piece of the case it has a device stand that you are able to prop up. It is also easy to put up and down and it holds the device in place nicely. On the same piece there is also a space to click your Apple Pencil into place. I don't have one, but I did test it with a regular pencil and it stays in place really well. The case is also easy to wipe down. Make sure it's completely dry before placing your device back inside of it though. All in all, this is a great case.

Otterbox is the only brand I trust with my electronics. The defender series is perfect for a rough and tumble crown who wants to protect their assets. The case itself has a thick shell that can easily remove the back or front cover for double protection. This is a great product.

Otter Box never fails! I've had an Otter Box phone case in the past and was excited to use this iPad case. This Defender Pro work on 7th and 8th generation iPads. It literally can withstand anything! It has a built in stand, storage for apple pencil, and is basically indestructible.

I really, really like Otter products. I have never had a negative outcome (broke my device) while using an Otter product. I have, however, shattered an iPad without one. Sigh- lesson learned the hard way; it is so much better to have an ounce of prevention than to pay SO much more to fix or replace a device (not to mention the time you have to go without while it is being fixed or replaced). It is very important to us to protect our device investments! And Otter does it again FOR THE WIN! Looks great and provides exceptional protection. Definitely do recommend ALL the Otter products!

I bought this case to protect my child's iPad. He wanted to change his "kiddie" protective case to something more "grown-up." Enter this Defender case. After some research, I decided to get this. It has all the protection I am looking for, and the all-black look made my child happy. There are some comments by other customers about having difficulty installing it but I watched a few YT videos and thankfully, I didn't encounter that problem. It's also a bonus that it has a built-in pencil holder inside. This review was written months after purchase and we are still very happy with this product.

This is a very well made case that looks good! It is sleek and is high quality. It fits snuggly. It did take some time to take it apart and placed on my iPad. But it gives me confidence that everything is secure and protect. The stand is a bonus. Highly recommended!

I was so excited to receive this case, we've already replaced one iPad due to children's hands. And this case did not disappoint! The case is solid, fits like a glove, and seems to be indestructible. I keep my iPad on a stand, and the case added extra weight, but fortunately it sits on the stand, just a better fit. There were no instructions, assembly pamphlets, or an type of manual or warranty information enclosed in the box. I'm not sure if that's part of the packaging, but it definitely would have helped with assembling the case on my iPad. I actually looked up an instructional video to get the case on. The outer case is amazing for making the iPad portable. I put the top on it and throw it into whatever bag im carrying, there is no way it can destruct. The outer edges of the top cover/stand are shock absorbers, and that top is a very solid fit. The top cover also provides a built in stand and the iPad an be used on it either horizontally or vertically. The Otter Box is a beast, I don't stress about little hands carrying it anywhere and everywhere now.

I have 3 kids and have had several ipads over the years, and always had them in otterbox defenders. regardless of age or competency, these cases do an excellent job of protecting the ipad. Coupled with a cheap tempered glass screen protector (I keep several in stock at all times) the ipads are durable and well protected. My only complaint is that the outer silicone skin will start to peel from the inner layer slightly at the edges of the ipad logo cutout, and when it does the kids end up picking at it and peeling it worse. But that's less of a design issue and more of a problematic child issue, although I wouldnt mind if they left out the stupid apple logo cutout. everyone knows what the device is without it.

This Otter box provides great protection for your device. The hard outer shell doubles as a stand giving you two options of viewing your screen (landscape or portrait). The only drawback is that if you are not familiar with all the components, it may take some time to figure out how to disassemble then reassemble the box as there were no instructions included.

Brought the iPad around the same time and it failed one fall and my iPad screen was totaled
