OtterBox Defender Series Pro Case for Apple iPad (10th generation) - Blue

i feel compelled to write a review after the almost tradegy from this morning. i was loading my 5 year old in the car to head to work, and i forgot his ipad on top of my car. that action caused it to fly off the top of my car going 40 miles per hour. i circled relentlessly in the dark to try and spot it, and i did. moments before a car ran over it. i panicked. i picked it up, and there is no damage whatsoever. camera in tact, screen in tact. i will never trust another casing brand again after today. picture attached. yes, it's dirty, however it belongs to a 5 year old.

I like the fact that the case is strong and that it covers the entire iPad when you are not using it.

OtterBox Defender Cover for Apple iPad (10th) was good quality. We always use OtterBox for our tech needs. It would be extra if the case could have had a cover that went over the screen when not in use to add extra protection.

I love that this fully covers my Ipad. have dropped it 2 times unfortunately, but no cracks or damage to my Ipad or the case. I only wish that it had the screen protector included, that had to be purchased separately since the screen protection in the description is actually a little raised area around the screen so that it buffers the screen from damage if it hits the floor.

The only issue is that the frame doesn't snap very securely on the side with the port cover. The rest of the case feels very tight and durable. The viewing stand or touchscreen protector is a little over complicated as well. They should have just done one angle like with the phone cases. Now it just feels junky and easily broken. The stand I mean not the case.

This product is not well made. It is a flaw in the way the stand works. We used it less than 4 months and a tab broke that holds it in place to stand.

Nice looking case. Does not stand up to expectations of OtterBox. I've owned a dozen OtterBox Defender cases for different devices, this is the worst fit I've seen. The top and bottom clips do not latch at all to hold the front and back. So the rubber outer shell is all that holds them together. OtterBox return policy requires customer to pay shipping to replace a defective product and their response is "We understand your concern about paying a shipping and handling fee for a warranty replacement, especially when the product was defective. The small fee we collect helps us process and ship your replacement as quickly and hassle-free as possible." Not very hassle free when the product isn't up to basic use standard and defective. If it was a product I've used and it has broke over time, yeah I have no issue paying to ship it. This product is defective out of the box, it's not quick and hassle-free for me to pay more money to get what will likely be another defective case End of the day, it'll work but when you spend that kind of money the expectation is for the product to at least snap together around the device. Also the kick stand is over engineered and difficult to use. Likely my last OtterBox product.

The first time my iPad drops the plastic area break. Not durable

Goo from the alignment stickers stick to the OtterBox Alpha Glass and it doesn't come off nicely. You better have a whole lot of alcohol wipes and lens wipes on hand. It took a very long time and a whole lot of patience and effort to get the Alpha Glass to look ok. Bubbles develop that you can't get out as soon as you put the iPad into the OtterBox Defender Pro case. I thought I was buying the best, so I would have the best look. Do NOT use the OtterBox Defender Pro case with an OtterBox screen protector if you want a nice-looking screen. You'll pay a whole lot and have bubbles all around the iPad's edges.

I bought it online for $55 instead of $89 which is what the price is in store, but it came scratched. I'm not very happy about that. I'm hoping I can return it and get one that isn't scratched up.
