OtterBox Samsung Galaxy S8 Defender Series Case, Vinyasa

I'm in construction, I have dropped my phone off of buildings, kicked it out of trucks on to pavement. and they have come out of the case as if they had just been bought. they warranty is great, the few times I have tore the rubber outer shell or broke the clip, a no questions asked replacment is on its way. the only thing with this new s8 is the fact that there is no screen protector. after time on prior boxes the built in screen would get scrached and i'd pop it out and glue on an aftermarket. but right out of the box i dont like that there is no protection at all. all in all great product, and you have a customer for life....

I love the back of the case Like all the otter boxes I've owned. Very disappointed there was no front cover. That's where I need the most protection. Highly concerned that dispite the quality of the back and sides, my phone is not protected in the manner I am acustem to from otter box products.

I'm happy with just about everything about the case. I only have two complaints, one of which isn't OtterBox's fault. The first is the fact that the case makes using the fingerprint scanner a little awkward but I also think Samsung dropped the ball here by placing it there. My second complaint, and this one is on OtterBox, is the way the flaps that cover the charging port and headphones jack open up. You can't open them without the soft shell lifting up a little bit. I also remember the last time I had a case with this latch design that the flaps eventually tore off from wear and tear. My last OtterBox (Galaxy S7+) opened up the opposite direction (against the back, not the trim) and those looked like new till the last day I used that case.

Glad I bought i, very frustrated about no screen protecor. For those of us who have been buying OtterBox Defenders for many years now it was a great surprise that I believe OtterBox said take consideration to offset the frustration Peace by providing the alpha glass that you sell on the website at a drastically lowered price for those of us who actually called it out and would like to have that screen protector because for those of us who have been buying for quite a few years now there has never been a Defender case without a screen protector and it would only seem practical fair and just to be able to have that screen protector at a lower cost then is currently being charged on the website please give that some consideration because of OtterBox boil customers deserve to have what we have always received which is a screen protector included I myself would be much more comfortable if I could have a screen protector of the alpha Quest that you sell at a lower cost considering that none of us were expecting to have a case with nothing less than that screen protector

Title says it all. This is my 3rd Defender case. Exceptional fit and finish. Feels right in the hand. Allows full functionality of buttons and screen. Have had the Galaxy S8 and Otterbox Defender a couple weeks. Previous Defenders offered "full protection". My only concern is in the long-term. What will the screen be like without any protection?

I have always purchased Defender cases for my Galaxy phones for years and have never had any complaints. I read numerous reviews on how many disliked the new design for the Defender, most notably the lack of a screen protector, and it made me hesitate a little. I have to say though that I do like this case overall. I wad worried with the size of the s8+ it would be too much for my pocket but it works great. The feel and look of the case meet the same standards and so far it is still as toddler proof as ever as I can attest to. True the lack of a screen protector is annoying since the price range is still the same, but it is very hard to find a case that I really trust to protect such delicate phones. Solid job OtterBox! Just next time listen to the customers and include the screen protector again!

So far so good, no complain. I wish it comes with the screen protector but says on the description. "New SCREENLESS design", just have to put the face of the phone towards the clip every time I'm not using it, just to be on the safe side. I only gave 3 stars because sometimes the synthetic rubber slipcover comes off when I take the phone out from the clip and I have put it back.

I am an otterbox client all my phones have to have an otterbox. I like them cause their very durable. I work out doors and spend most of my life out doors either working, fishig, or fourwheeling...ect. The reason I dint like it was because it dont have a screen protrecror, wich might cause my phone to get dirt inside. If you ever make one woth a screen protector. I would happly buy it!

I am a long time otter box customer and for the most part I have had no comaints untill I purchased the defender case for the Samsung galaxy S8. The overall feeling I have for this case is I don't feel like I am protecting my phone 100%. The screen feels to exposed to danger feels like not enough protection for it if you drop the phone. Also the belt clip doesn't feel secure enough I have had my phone fall out of its holster two times now and I have had the case replaced once already with in a few days of purchase. All in all I rate this a 2 out of 5 because of some flaws with the case.

I ordered a defender series case online for the Galaxy S8+. I don't know if I missed the description but it does not come with a screen protector. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. The screen is totally exposed especially because of the curved edges.
