Oxbow Essentials Ferret Food - 4 lb Dry

I've been feeding my 3 ferrets this food for 3 years. It's of excellent quality, the ferrets love it and it's the best ingredient option of all of the available ferret foods out there. All the others have ingredients that obligate carnivores like ferrets do not need and shouldn't have in their diet as some can be quite bad for them and cause painful and even life threatening stones.

My ferrets eat it no problem. Their poops are smaller, but still go a lot. The pieces are perfect size for their mouths. Has a high protein content which they need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food was the perfect size for Ferrets or another small rodent, although you do have to make sure if you're giving it to a pet other than a ferret that the ingredients are okay for them. The food is in the shape of small discs or circles. It claims to have 100% of the daily nutrition your ferret needs, and it also doesn't have any corn, peas, or potatoes. It's nice to be able to trust a company that focuses on creating healthy food for the tiny pets in your lives.

Chopper really likes this food. I'm happy with it and happy I chose it for my Ferret.

This is a great daily food for maintaining a healthy diet for your pet ferret. The size of the kibble is small making it easy for the pet to eat. My pet had no problem adding this into their current food and took to it without hesitation, so I think it's safe to say they must like how it tastes! What I liked most about this one is that there is no corn in it and is made with chicken. It has everything in it to make sure your pet is getting the nutrients they need.

This is an excellent quality food for ferrets. I love the size and getting them switched from that nasty Marshall stinky food was a breeze. I would recommend this food to anyone that is planning to own a ferret or has ferrets. Just fyi for some folks reviews Ive read, when introducing a new food to a ferret, ferrets are picky anyways, just because they want eat the food doesn't mean they absolutely don't like it. My ferrets for a long time wouldn't touch any real meat. I had to introduce the meat constantly. Being the carnivores that they are, it takes time and patience and effort. If you don't want to put any effort into ferrets, I suggest you get a goldfish because these exotic pets you have to really take of. The only slight problem I do have with this food is Oxbow claims there is no starches in this kibble but on the back of the bag claims there is rice flour in the ingredients list. Other than that, this is a great food to offer your floofs. I do believe that Oxbow wants to make a better kibble for ferrets and actually care about them unlike the other companies I see that think it's okay to put peas in the ferrets kibble which isn't good for them.
