Oxbow Essentials Ferret Food - 4 lb Dry

My ferrets eat it no problem. Their poops are smaller, but still go a lot. The pieces are perfect size for their mouths. Has a high protein content which they need.

I've been feeding my 3 ferrets this food for 3 years. It's of excellent quality, the ferrets love it and it's the best ingredient option of all of the available ferret foods out there. All the others have ingredients that obligate carnivores like ferrets do not need and shouldn't have in their diet as some can be quite bad for them and cause painful and even life threatening stones.

My two girls love it, I leave a bowl for them to graze on, but also use it to make their soups. They will not eat anything else. They are healthy and their coats are soft as silk.

My ferret, Ringo really likes this good.

I'm giving 4 stars because although I love the brand and food, I hate that it's only a 4lb bag option. I feel there should be a 25lb bag option as well. The one size doesn't help and I've had to switch to a different brand for a bulk option sadly.

I think it's fine and you do get a lot of product, I just think it'll take more than one bag to switch them over from their original food they were eating. They like it and it's an extra pound compared to the average bag near me. Not to shabby.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this item came up for grabs, I actually was trying to get some rabbit food because my family has a bunny but all the bunny items were out of stock by the time I got to it. So I ended up picking a bag of ferret food because our family friends have a ferret and I know it would be used up. They said their ferret really loved this food! That the food size was perfect and didn't have any bad smell to it. Would recommend for sure.
